The Parker Players have received numerous requests to offer their Improv Fundamentals class to teenagers, and they are excited to announce the launch of a 6-week improv comedy class specifically designed for 13 to 17-year-olds. This class aims to introduce teenagers to the world of improv comedy and help them enhance their skills, benefiting their involvement in theater or improv clubs. Improv comedy is not only a fun and enjoyable art form, but it also has the potential to be life-changing. By participating in this class, teenagers can boost their self-confidence, explore their comedic talent, and develop the ability to handle any challenges that life throws at them.
Led by Grant Garrison, a highly experienced improv actor and renowned teacher, this class covers the fundamentals of improv comedy. Over the course of the 6 weeks, students will bond with their classmates through laughter while learning essential principles of improvisation. The class welcomes students of all experience levels, whether they are beginners seeking an introduction to improv acting, individuals looking to refresh their previous improv training, or students aiming to improve their public speaking and confidence in front of an audience.
The Improv FUNdamentals For Teens: 6 Week Class will take place on Saturdays at the prestigious PACE Center in Parker from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The scheduled dates for the class are September 23, September 30, October 14, October 28, November 4, and November 11, 2023.
