***PLEASE NOTE THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR FOUR SEPARATE SUNDAYS IN SEPTEMBER. EACH SESSION HAS A UNIQUE ITINERARY. THE $55 TICKET COVERS ALL FOUR DATES: SEPT 8, 15, 22 + 29, FROM 3 PM - 5 PM*** Are you interested, passionate and/or curious about the following: the Real Housewives franchise, BravoTV, reality TV in general, Hi/Lo culture, writing, poetry? A Real Poetry Workshop on the Real Housewives is an exploration of the poetry that takes place in the Bravo TV Real Housewives universe. Each week we will meet up IRL in Toronto, where we will use a clip from a show as a starting point and theme to read, write and recite poetry and other creative work. The workshop will provide time to write, inspired by prompts from the clips and related examined literature, along with space to share your own work, if so desired. Time permitting, we can also have a cheeky chatty kiki about current shows etc. About the organizerI am a poet and professional writer who has led and attended many poetry workshops. My first collection of poems, Sex Made Me, was described by David Sedaris as being “pleasantly disturbing”. I’m deeply invested in the Bravo universe and always thrilled to meet other Real Housewives fans, writers and poets. My Housewives tagline would be “I may be antisocial on social media, but I’m mostly fine in real life.”
