Somatic dance allows you to use the body as a tool for healing and self-awareness through practices like movement, meditation, journaling, breathwork, and visualizations. Chenchira will lead us through a series of prompts as we create movement and healing with our bodies in a safe space. There's plenty of room for expressive body movements, weird noises, and releasing stuck or stagnant feelings. Come explore the relationship between your physical body and your energy, and how your thoughts, actions, and body interact. Come with an open mind and heart to develop a deeper sense of presence and consciousness, as well as self-expression, acceptance, and a relationship with your masculine and feminine energies. All bodies are welcome in all expressions, no matter mobility challenges. Participants are encouraged to bring a journal and an offering for the workshop altar. This is a drug and alcohol-free space/event. For the respect of all participants, please keep it at home or imbibe after, but off the property.
