Traitors: A Real Life Competition of Traitors and Faithfuls | Club Café

Traitors: A Real Life Competition of Traitors and Faithfuls | Club Café

Aug 12, 2025 (UTC-4)
Boston
Cultural Experiences
Join us for a night where you'll be pitted against your fellow attendees in a competition of deceit, challenges, murders, and over-the-top Scottish accents,* in an event that (according to our lawyers) is in no way inspired by the copywritten material of the hit Peacock TV show. At the beginning of the night, several attendees will secretly be given the role of Traitor, making them murderers who must work to eliminate as many Faithfuls as they can without being detected. While others will be the Faithfuls, working to detect the murderers and eliminate them from the game. Throughout the event, there will be challenges where players can both earn protection from murder and feed the (not very large) prize pot, clandestine killings, and round-table sessions where players will be accused and the suspected Traitors will be eliminated. At the end of the night, if the Faithfuls have successfully rooted out all the Traitors, then any of them still standing will split the prize pot and the glory. But if any Traitors are still in their midst, then it will be the dark side that takes home the honor and the spoils of victory. No knowledge of the TV show that may or may not have inspired this competition is required. *Presence of Scottish accent is not guaranteed. All of our hosts are different and in some cases, trust us, you don't want to hear them attempt to give rules explanations in an attempted accent. -- Before you decide to buy tickets, a few basics we should cover: 1) We are running multiple nights of this event in a number of different cities throughout the country. Because the game will be the same each time, we ask people not to buy tickets to multiple events as knowing what's coming next will give them an unfair advantage over the other players in the room. 2) Refunds are only available to those who cancel with more than 48 hours' notice, in order to make sure we have enough time to find a replacement for you and keep the event well-populated. (Exceptions will be made for emergency situations on a case-by-case basis). After that, we're blowing the money from your ticket sale on something awesome and nonrefundable. 3) If we get to 24 hours before the event and still haven't sold enough tickets to make this a fun event for all involved, we will cancel the event (and notify you). 4) Quirk Events is a company dedicated to creating joy through events built around games. We have hosted such things in the past as board game speed dating, a pub trivia murder mystery, showcase nights for local board game designers and more. Visit https://www.quirkevents.com/boston to see what else we have to offer. (If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, you'll be able to join our mailing list and get notified about future events. Plus, joining our mailing list gets you 50% off your first ticket purchase! You can also stay up-to-date on everything we have going on at Quirk Events by following us on Instagram here! Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and Harvard professor Fred Logevall discusses the history and context of recently declassified files relating to President John F. Kennedy. Earlier this year, in accordance with a Presidential directive and in an effort to maximize transparency, all records previously withheld for classification in the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection were released. Among the key takeaways from these National Archives papers are a deeper understanding of CIA operations in the early 1960s, particularly in Latin America, and new details about intelligence sources inside the Cuban government. Alan Price , director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, moderates. Information Source: John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum | eventbrite

Henry Diltz is an American icon—an extraordinary photographer whose lens captured the soul of a generation. As the official photographer for Woodstock and a founding member of the famed Morrison Hotel Gallery, Diltz has chronicled over five decades of music history with rare intimacy and timeless style. His photographs of The Doors, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash, James Taylor, Paul McCartney , and countless others, have graced more than 250 album covers and magazines. They are not just images, they are significant cultural artifacts. His photography was recently featured in the acclaimed docuseries, “Laurel Canyon,” which reignited global fascination with the California counterculture that forever changed music history. With an uncanny ability to be both everywhere and invisible at once, Henry didn’t just shoot legends, he was part of the circle. His work is a living, breathing archive of the moments that defined rock and roll. Now, his photos are coming to Boston for a rare exhibit and special event. At this very special engagement, you’ll join Henry Diltz for a meet & greet reception hosted by Emerson College President, Dr. Jay Bernhardt, followed by a slide show and stories about his extraordinary career as they can only be told by this singular photographer. There will also be a complimentary public gallery showing from 10AM—5PM earlier that day featuring approximately two dozen original photographs. Just two New England Shows for Summer 2025! About Martin: Martin Richard started his running career with YES in 2009 at age 5. In his early days, Martin would chase his brother, Henry, and the older athletes on their runs, many of whom he would eventually catch up to and pass. But his fierce and unrivaled sense of competition does not tell the full picture of Martin’s character and drive. His understanding of fairness, inclusion, and teamwork were values that helped to identify Martin. The one mile that we run, walk, or shuffle through will celebrate Martin’s zest for life as a competitor, teammate, and vibrant young boy.
