'SNOW' is a narrative-focused long-form improv format based on flashbacks of characters’ past. In this story, we go past the classical structure of “good guys” vs “villains”, and we see how each character has their own deep reasons to act the way they do. The format is moderated by a 'writer', who directs the narrative side of the story, while the other improvisers give life and meaning to each moment. The structure itself has plot twists to maintain tension throughout the show. A format suitable for long-form beginners! His Improv journey started in Italy in 2006, alongside his studies in writing and storytelling, and it has since become his full-time profession. In Rome, Pierpaolo founded the group Trama Libera Tutti, which plays shows from funny short form to dramatic, grounded long form based on relations and narrative. Soon they became a hub where other Italian improvisers would get trained, in courses and shows he would teach and direct. After working all around Italy, in 2017, he moved to Brussels, where he founded Impro Brussels and, in 2023, the Brussels Shuffle. In these years in Belgium, he also had the chance to play with professionals from all over the world. Pierpaolo's work in scripted theatre led him to write and direct the play When Time Stands Still, which starred in the Roma Fringe Festival and Scripted Toronto Festivals, and he's co-written and directed a number of plays in Italian. His storytelling, directing, and writing background has helped him develop improv tools in areas like narrative and characters, as well as improvising in different genres. Over the years, he trained improvisers from their first years in the craft, to their professional formats, to mentoring them in their journey in becoming teachers themselves. Since 2008, he's had the privilege to teach and play Improv in dozens of countries all over the globe, on basically every theme and format. When he's not improvising, you can find Pierpaolo at home cooking Italian food, taking care of his plants, obsessing over music from the 90s, and organizing his next Improv tour around the world, around the world. Around the world, around the world. Around the world, around the world. ----- ----- ----- About the OrganisersLarks Improv Theatre (LIT)’s mission is to enrich lives in Singapore through the art of improvisational theatre.
