Workshop | Abstracted Landscape Painting | Arts Warehouse
Arts
Join the Workshop | Abstracted Landscape Painting at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach. In this follow-up session to Abstracted Landscape Painting part 1, participants will have the opportunity to break down the landscape into basic shapes and colors on a canvas. You don't need to have attended part 1 to join this workshop. This time, we will work on a larger canvas and have more time to paint. Each student will receive a 16 x 20 canvas to work on.
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by the idea of capturing a landscape accurately, this workshop is for you. We will teach you how to break down a landscape into five areas using just five colors. By doing this, you will be able to create a landscape without feeling the need to include every detail. Instead, we will encourage you to view the abstracted landscape in a different way, focusing on the macro shapes. To assist you in this process, we will provide the PANTONE App, which will help you see and breakdown the colors in the landscape photo you choose to work from.
The goal of this workshop is to create a mood rather than an exact depiction of a landscape. You will come away with 1-2 larger landscape paintings. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop is suitable for all levels. All you need to bring is a photo of a landscape you like (although we will provide a collection of landscape images to choose from) and an iPhone or iPad with the PANTONE App installed. If you don't have an iPhone or iPad, our instructor will provide access to the app for you.
The workshop will be held at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach on November 11, 2023. Tickets are priced at $65. Please note that refunds will only be processed if requested at least 72 hours prior to the workshop date. Only one ticket transfer will be allowed per person per workshop type. To request a refund or cancel your ticket, please call 561-330-9614.
