The 2025 Ride Reno 200 ( RR200 ) is an AMA-sanctioned, self-guided dual-sport motorcycle rally. The route will start and end at Mount Rose Ski Tahoe at 22222 Mount Rose Highway, way up above Reno, Nevada. The RR200 is a non-competitive event and no timing and scoring will be used. If you are a dual sport or adventure rider who likes plenty of climbs and descents, long high-speed sand tracks, rocky jeep roads and high-altitude forest trails this ride is for you. The route will pass through the Pine Nut Mountains, pass by the Walker and Carson rivers, ride a part of the Pony Express Trail and go through historic Virginia City. Expect to see fall colors and epic views. The RR200 will use trails in the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management. Use of USFS-approved spark arrestors is required for all motorcycles. The RR200 also uses public roads and highways so all motorcycles must be plated . There will be a tech inspection at rider check-in. Two route options will be offered: The ' A ' route. 200 miles and over 21,000' of climbing. This route has some harder sections and is recommended for more experienced riders. An adventure bike is not a good choice for this route, although an expert rider could do it on an adventure bike. We recommend that you bring your dual sport if you're planning to do the 'A' route, however. The ' B ' route. 136 miles and over 18,000' of climbing. This route is recommended for less experienced riders and is adventure bike capable. RR200 entrants will be provided route maps for both the 'A' and 'B' routes in GPX and KML formats. No Jart charts will be provided so you will need your own GPS on your bike. The Dust Devils MC will provide sweep riders and limited recovery support but all riders are expected to be able to self-navigate and to handle minor trail-side repairs such as a flat tire. Advanced Asphalt is proud to present Reno's Fourth Annual Goon Squad Cup Game in conjunction with the Jennifer O'Neil Community Ice Arena. We've got some boys from Canada who want to come down and face off against some locals from the States. The event will also coincide with Reno's second annual Hockey Day, which will include an all-day kids' tournament presented by RENO ICE. All proceeds will benefit the Nico Goon Scholar Award. Nico Goon graduated from Bishop Manaogue and was a first-year student majoring in civil engineering at Cal Poly. He tragically passed away on Sunday, Dec. 29th, 2024. The Nico Goon Scholar Award was established to continue a legacy of kindness and academic excellence in the community. Its stated goal is to help the young men and women of the Northern Nevada area continue to achieve their dreams and contribute to humankind. This scholarship will carry forward his legacy by supporting local students who embody Nico’s spirit and “Live Like Nico” as they pursue their dreams.
