DUNDAS COUNTY PLAYERS ARE BRINGING “MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS”, A CLASSIC MYSTERY, TO WINCHESTER'S OLD TOWN HALL THIS SPRING Beautifully adapted for the stage by American playwright Ken Ludwig, Murder on the Orient Express is perhaps Agatha Christie's best-known work and features her celebrated detective, Hercule Poirot. In the past years, Amanda Burger has directedOn This Day, The Black Albatross and the Treasure of Puffin McGuffin, and Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hoodfor Dundas County Players. This followed a long professional career in theatre in Canada as a stage manager, director and choreographer. Thanks to years’ worth of film and television adaptations, many will be familiar with the story and Hercule Poirot, his famous moustache and sense of style, who solves cases by using his “little grey cells”. In this particular instance, it is 1934 and Poirot is recovering from a difficult case in Syria. He must travel unexpectedly from Istanbul to London on the unusually packed first-class cabin of the Orient Express.
