As a highly sought after vocalist, artist, song writer and DJ, Jinadu has featured on more than 180 label releases with some of electronic music’s biggest names, culminating with winning a Grammy for co-writing and performing on the lead track of Black Coffee’s 2021 album, ‘Subconciously'. Other collaborations of note include features with Patrick Topping, Hot Since 82, Cristoph, Deetron, Dixon, &Me, Chris Lorenzo, Dave Lee (fka Joey Negro) and on labels such as Defected, Toolroom, Shogun Audio, Ultra, Anjunadeep & Armada. With his '70s West Coast inspired band The Beauty Room, Jinadu has performed live on BBC Radio 1 & 2 for Bob Harris and Gilles Peterson respectively, recorded at Abbey Road & Sunset Studios LA and released two critically acclaimed albums. Of dual ethnicity, Jinadu was raised between Nigeria, York and London. The son of a church minister, he spent five years as a professional chorister at York Minster, a major contrast with his charismatic home church. These two worlds would later collide and become a source of both spiritual and artistic inspiration. With ever expanding musical horizons, Jinadu draws inspiration from a diverse palette - fusion, prog rock and funk to classical, choral, electronica, IDM, house, DnB.
