The Tactical Athlete Games | Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, Crosby Coastal Park, Cambridge Road, Waterloo, Liverpool, UK
Feb 1, 2025 (UTC+0)
Waterloo
The Tactical Athlete Games is a first-of-its-kind championship designed to find and crown the ultimate tactical athlete in the UK. Organized by The Red On Group, global leaders in human optimisation and experts in tactical athlete development, this event brings together elite competitors to push the boundaries of performance. Spanning across four challenging events, athletes will be tested on their strength, endurance, agility, and resilience. Unlike traditional competitions, the Tactical Athlete Games uses a unique points-based scoring system, where every second matters. Points are awarded based on how close an athlete’s finish time is to the event winner, rather than their placement in the field. This approach emphasises precision and pace, ensuring that even a fraction of a second can make the difference between victory and defeat. The scoring system is straightforward but demanding. A first-place finish earns 5,000 points, and for every second behind the winner, points diminish by one. For example, if an athlete finishes 2 minutes (120 seconds) behind the first-place time, they will receive 4,880 points. There is no points minimum, so an athlete's score can fall to zero if their time deficit is too large. The male and female athletes with the highest cumulative points across the four events will be crowned the Tactical Athlete Games Champions, earning the ultimate title along with a share of the £1,000 prize pot. With no minimum score or floor, the competition rewards consistency and speed, making every second crucial in the race for the title. The Red On Group's expertise ensures a rigorous, well-structured event, where competitors are pushed to their peak performance in a fair and exciting environment. The event dates are: EVENT 1: Endurance and Speed Event - 01 Feb 2025 EVENT 2: Work Capacity - 16 Mar 2025 EVENT 3: Strength and Power - 27 Apr 2025 EVENT 4: The Final - 29 Jun 2025

Flow into Creativity: A Somatic Exploration of Nature, Movement, and Writingwith Daphne Chua & Sharon Kaur
What if creativity could flow as effortlessly as fluids, as naturally as the changing light of the seasons? Join us for a 3-hour workshop that weaves gentle, somatic movement with intuitive writing practices, an invitation to explore the sensory richness in the direct experience of the body-mind. Together, we’ll reconnect with the rhythms of the body, the dynamics of nature’s elements, and the boundless possibilities of creative flow. This workshop is for everyone—whether you’re new to movement, writing, or both. Through somatic, body-centered practices, we’ll explore the qualities of the body’s fluid system and their relationships to movement, touch, breath, and states of mind. By tuning into how we perceive gravity, space, smells, sounds, light, and color, we’ll awaken the imagination, deepen imagination, and rediscover the joy of composition. Embodied Awareness: Guided somatic movement to connect with the body’s communication and transportation systems—the fluids that underlie presence, transformation, and flow. Inspiration from the Senses: Explorations that attune to the sensory world, supporting awareness of the present moment and sparking creative imagination. Creative Expression Through Intuitive Flow: Writing prompts that emerge naturally from your embodied experience, allowing your thoughts and words to flow effortlessly.Whether you’re seeking a creative reset, inspiration for your travels, or simply a moment to pause and reflect, this workshop offers a space to explore, play, and connect.Bring your curiosity and your openness to sense, feel and create. We will move, imagine, and express the rhythms within and around us. We look forward to sharing this transformative journey with you. ---- Event details Date: February 9 Time: 3.30pm to 6.30pm Venue: Black Box, 42 Waterloo Street ---- About Daphne A self-professed body-mind and movement nerd, Daphne is always exploring the underlying principles of the human brain-body connections in the way we relate.
