2025 Event RegistrationThe 16th annual Amica Newport Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025. With 13.1 and 26.2 miles of unrivaled oceanfront running, this award-winning fall classic in the City by the Sea is not to be missed! Both the marathon and half-marathon start at 7:30 a.m. at Easton's Beach in Newport, Rhode Island. The races run through downtown before miles of seaside running loop around Ocean Drive. Runners then turn onto Bellevue Ave. and cruise past the famed Newport mansions and historic homes. The half marathon then finishes at the beach while the marathon continues into gorgeous Middletown, where a quiet but no less beautiful second half awaits the 26.2 crowd. Both courses are USATF-certified and can be used as qualifiers for the Boston Marathon and all other major marathon events. Join the event volunteer team at the Newport Marathon on Sunday, 28th April and become part of one of the biggest running events in Wales! No special skills are necessary - just a lot of enthusiasm! Whether you come alone, with friends or family, or as a group, there are various roles available on race day to suit everyone's preferences. You can give out bottled water at the water stations, which are located every 5km along the route. Alternatively, you can support the Runners Bag Drop area on Usk Way and engage in conversations with the runners before and after the race. If you prefer to be more involved along the route, you can be a Course Marshal, guiding and cheering on the runners. Another option is to help at the start and finish line on Usk Way, where you can cheer on the runners and distribute medals and t-shirts to the finishers. As a volunteer, you will receive an exclusive event t-shirt and bag, lunch and refreshments, Tempo Time Credits, and on-the-day support from a supervisor. Many of our volunteers have been with us for 10 years, so you will have the opportunity to meet wonderful people. Volunteering is not only a fun way to spend your day, but it also allows you to make friends, enhance your CV, and experience the electrifying atmosphere of race day. Please note that the minimum age for volunteering is 14, and if you are aged between 14 and 17, please contact us for more information. If you represent a local community or youth group, we would be delighted to hear from you. We have previously received support from various organizations such as the police cadets, scouts, social running groups, faith groups, and many others. Additionally, we offer corporate volunteering days for businesses that are interested in corporate social responsibility goals or simply want to enjoy a team building experience outside the office. Apart from the Newport Marathon, we are also looking for race day volunteers for other upcoming events in our 2024 calendar, including the Cardiff Bay 10K on 19th May, Porthcawl 10K on 7th July, Cardiff 10K on 1st September, and Cardiff Half Marathon on 6th and 7th October.
