Join Master Papermaker Ayako Yoshizumi as she travels from Japan to Rhode Island to share her extensive knowledge of the art of Japanese papermaking. This exclusive WEEKEND WORKSHOP series, titled "Way of Washi: One and/or Two Days Japanese Paper Arts," offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the incredible world of washi. Taking place at The Art Annex in Pawtucket, this two-day event will be held on October 14th and 15th, 2023. Each day offers a unique experience, and participants can choose to attend either one or both days for a comprehensive exploration of Japanese paper arts. On October 14th, the workshop will cover sheet-forming with kozo fiber, Japanese fan (uchiwa) making, and decorative techniques on handmade paper.
