Fire dancing is a beautiful and exhilarating form of self-expression and it's something that I believe everybody should try at least once. For many people, there's an immediate intoxication with the art form. Something about hearing the WOOSH and feeling the heat as you wield the force wakes up a deeper source within us. But with all chaotic forces, it can be dangerous if we don't know how to conduct ourselves properly to minimize risk. In this workshop, we will be undertaking our first burns and getting the opportunity to celebrate the magic of fire dancing and intention setting on the December 16th Full Moon night. Hosted and facilitated by Siren of the Elements, you'll be welcomed into a cozy and covered outdoor space surrounded by a lush garden, an assortment of snacks, a roaring fire pit, and comfortable pillows and blankets. There will also be a small doggy named Cookie. Over the course of the evening, we will use the fire as a tool to build up inner confidence, resiliency, and groundedness within the body through movement. We'll dive into the fundamentals of fan flow arts to help build our toolkit for this medium of expression. We'll cover the tricks of the trade and professional fire-safety etiquette used at high-end end-gigs to minimize potential risk. The latter half of the evening will be back-to-back fire dances with the opportunity for commentary and integration between the dances. NEW DATE -> Monday Dec 16th, 2024 | 6-10:00PM Registration is $88 per person and covers everything you'll need to participate and flow. All you need to do is come dressed fire-safe which more info on how to do that can be found via my free fire-safety guide, available for download here E-transfer is also an option if you prefer to save on Eventbrite fees ~ sirenoftheelements@gmail.com The event is hosted at a private residence outdoors near Upper Delbrook in North Vancouver and it is accessible via public transit. See you in circle! About the Facilitator Siren of the Elements is a multidisciplinary artist, creative, and healer who specializes in helping people access their emotional expression and personal empowerment through movement, music, and the elements. She's a renowned performance artist and fire-spinner across the Lower Mainland and she has become the go-to instructor for fan flow arts and fire-spinning initiations in Vancouver. Here's what some of her previous students have to say... Siren is not only teaching a set of easy to learn moves to express oneself with…. she takes you a soul’s journey inwards to rediscover your sacred connection to fire. The one that is ancestral and stamped into our DNA from the times where we were tribal in our existence, when fire was as revered as we can only imagine, looking back at it from our plastic and concrete jungle... I have been transformed by fire. It was not a dance lesson….it was a healing session with a highly skilled practitioner. I cannot recommend the experience to you enough. You will love it! - Mark Lemhor ”I absolutely loved Siren’s class. This was not just a regular fire fan workshop. By following the elements for each of the classes, I felt more of a spiritual connection while learning how to dance with the fans. The final class with the full moon dance, was powerful. Siren was a fabulous instructor. She broke the skills down in a way that was easy to master. She created a safe space to learn and the energy of the classes was support and fun. I started the class with the intention of only using LED fans. But with Siren’s encouragement, I danced with fire for the full moon ceremony! Thanks Siren! I definitely recommend taking her classes and am excited to start her next class.” — Angèle More of Siren here... https://www.sirenoftheelements.com/ https://linktr.ee/SirenOfTheElements Photographs by Isaza Photography Information Source: Elemental Momentum | eventbrite

Arts Dance
As we immerge from the darknest part of the year, the seeds of intention we call forth are of great importance. What do you want this year to be about for you? On this New Moon we'll be using the element of fire to activate these themes within us. It can be about power, or it can be about zen. The choice is yours how you wish to express yourself through movement. In this workshop we'll be celebrating the Jan 28th New Moon through a series of rituals, meditations, and embodiment exerciese. Then we'll work on accessing our flow toolkits, work up our fire-safety knowledge and comfortability with fire, then begin to dance with it. As you arrive you'll be welcomed into a cozy and artistic residence surrounded by a lush garden, an assortment of snacks, a roaring fire pit, and comfortable pillows and blankets. The first half of the session will be indoors and the second half will be outdoors in a covered space. A warm fire pit will be present for both portions. Over the course of the evening, we will use the fire as a tool to relax into our sense of self, our inner worth, and our inner confidence through movement. We'll dive into the fundamentals of fan flow arts to help build our toolkit for this medium of expression. We'll cover the tricks of the trade and professional fire-safety etiquette to minimize potential risk. The latter half of the evening will be back-to-back fire dances with the opportunity for commentary and integration between the dances. Tuesday Jan 28th | 6-11 PM Registration is $110 per person and covers everything you'll need to participate and flow. She's a certified life-coach from the Jay Shetty Certification program and she's most accredited to helping those who are undergoing a significant life transformation and helping her clients make massive leaps through their dark nights of the souls. - Mark Lemhor My time with Siren of the Elements was so full and I’m filled with gratitude each time I reflect on it. From the onset of our time together Siren has the ability to make you feel at ease. She started our time together with a beautiful meditation that had me grounded in my body. She then led us thru a dance warm up and some fan flow movements instilling playfulness. Siren then provided me with both written and oral fire safety. This gave me the confident foundation to start learning fire flow. Our time together then continued into the setting of the sun and my first few burns. It was such an amazing experience that was enriched with Siren’s beautiful guidance. I’m excited for our next time together and to continue to grow in fire flow with Siren as a mentor. - Clare (@ dancingonmountains) More of Siren here... https://www.sirenoftheelements.com/ https://linktr.ee/SirenOfTheElements Cover Photographs by James Deane Description Photographs by Matt Anthony, Liam Pelchat, and James Deane Information Source: Elemental Momentum | eventbrite
