The Loy Krathong Festival is a traditional folk festival in Thailand, held on the night of December 15th in the Thai calendar every year (November in the Gregorian calendar). According to traditional customs, Thai people will put handmade water lanterns into the river on the day of Loy Krathong Festival to express their best wishes and blessings. In addition, there is also the custom of releasing sky lanterns, witnessing the sky lanterns rising gracefully into the sky and filling the night sky. This once-a-year spectacle of thousands of lights is something you can’t miss!
