We host an array of events from Spa days, Retreats, Cruises, Comedy shows and more. The objective is for people to heal through holistic remedies from using natural products, exercise, relaxation, laughter and more. This is our 4thd Annual Stepping for Lupus event. Our Founder Christa Syreeta who suffers from Lupus created the Stepping for Lupus fundraiser event that works with the Lupus Research Alliance organization to raise money to help find a cure. Christa found a fitness program that was and still is helping her on her lupus journey and this year we will have the creator of ❌️treme Hip Hop, the one and only Mr. Phillip Weeden in the building! Join us on May 10, 2025 at Arts High School. We are stepping for a cause. We are stepping to find a cure. We are stepping because this is what we do. We're saving lives! Rather if you are a beginner, intermediate, advance, or not a stepper at all; YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS. My name is Christa Syreeta Caldwell-Pretlow, and I am a lupus warrior. In April of 2017, I was diagnosed with SLE and Discoid Lupus. Never really being around anyone with this autoimmune disease and not knowing too much about it, it was my mission to start my research along with my journey towards complete healing. No matter what the condition is, there's always a way to turn your lemons into lemonade. The organization that I am representing is the Lupus Research Alliance of New Jersey. Lupus is a painful autoimmune disease that affects millions worldwide. This disease is more common than leukemia, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and cystic fibrosis. Lupus can cause a plethora of ailments including kidney failure, heart disease, high blood pressure, vascular problems, and even premature death. My motto is " Live Life Abundantly On Purpose", and that is what I was planning to do. I began turning this diagnostic around by listening to my doctor, becoming more aware of myself, traveling more often, incorporating more fruits, veggies, and water in my diet, and getting back into exercising through yoga and dance. Then Xtreme Hip Hop Step came my way and provided an opportunity for me not to just step and get in shape but to also become a certified Xtreme Instructor. Each year, the Lupus Research Alliance coordinates powerful fundraising programs and opportunities where friends, family and colleagues come together in cities across the country to raise awareness and funds for lupus research. The Lupus Research Alliance leads the quest to free the world of this autoimmune disease through the power of scientific research. The Lupus Research Alliance has committed $220+ million to lupus research, making it the largest private funder of lupus research in the world. This is the third STEPPING 4 LUPUS event that we have partnered with The Lupus Research Alliance. The Lupus Alliance will also be in attendance to provide the community with research-based information. I am so excited about this new adventure and helping others achieve their goals because helping people find ways of living life abundantly is what I was called to do. "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." -Philippians 2:4 MEET THE CREATOR Phil was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up playing sports and was a natural athlete, but he chose a different path. He stumbled onto his love of fitness by accident when he started his own fitness journey to transform his own body and to combat his depression. Phil became a certified personal trainer in 2008 at Cater 2 U Fitness Center and later entered the world of bodybuilding in 2009-2011. Phil’s love for fitness continued to grow, as well as his trials and tribulations. In March 2013, Phil stepped out on faith and opened his own gym, Naturally Gifted Fitness Center located in Cleveland Heights, OH. This is where the idea for Xtreme Hip Hop was born. Members of the gym wanted a step class, but he couldn’t keep a step instructor. Phil decided to embark on the journey of teaching the step class himself, but his first order of business was to find music that motivated him to move, and that’s exactly what he did. Phil’s step class was a hit. As word traveled and popularity for the class grew, Phil received numerous requests to bring his class everywhere. In 2014 Phil began traveling the U.S. doing masterclasses to the nation and Xtreme Hip Hop with Phil became an official movement. Along his fitness journey, Phil discovered his passion is helping others reach their health and wellness goals and that’s the love and dedication that he continues to share with the world through fitness and his Xtreme brand.
