BRELAND is the innovation of artistry within the landscape of Country music. Amassing 1.2 BILLION streams and still counting, BRELAND’s undeniable talent and bold fusion of genre broke tradition and limitations as his PLATINUM-certified debut single “My Truck” captivated hearts and catapulted him to notoriety where only few go and remain. Lauded by major outlets such as NPR , The New York Times , and Rolling Stone who claims BRELAND as a standout who has reimagined “elements of Country, Hip Hop, R&B, Gospel and Pop – in a way that many have not experienced before,” BRELAND’s 2022 debut album Cross Country has amplified his star and served as the foundation for his relevance ever since. With high profile appearances on Good Morning America , Jimmy Kimmel Live! , TODAY , and more, the Bad Realm Records/Atlantic Records artist ushered in the next chapter of his career with his early-2024 single “Heartbreak & Alcohol,” which he announced on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show . BRELAND’s magnetism as a performer was featured on Verizon’s Speakeasy Concert series in Chicago in August and showcased as the headliner for his LITTLE MORE COUNTRIER TOUR before joining Teddy Swims' I’VE TRIED EVERYTHING BUT THERAPY TOUR. Charismatic. Soulful. A truly one-of-a-kind artist with stadium-sized appeal, the multihyphenate hitmaker has many accolades including winning the Academy of Country Music Lift Every Voice Award. BRELAND’s latest EP, Project 2024 , is a fusion of purpose and passion that is only the beginning of his next musical chapter. Information Source: The Fleece Bristol | eventbrite

Nothing beats a home-cooked meal shared with family! And this is what inspires our Family Style Cookery Classes , a fun, laid-back homestyle cooking experience. Here, you will learn to prepare different dishes and then enjoy them with people who, like you, fuel our mission of supporting refugee and migrant chefs on their journey to integration. It’s a cookery class with a conscience, like they say! Your class will be led by our wonderful Chef Halise from Turkey at Coexist Community Kitchen in Bristol . At our Family Style Cookery Classes, you will be grouped with other participants and prepare dishes together as a team. Think of Chef Halise as the head of the family! She will take care of dividing the class into groups, and each group will be responsible for creating one of the dishes. Of course, you are welcome and encouraged to move around during the class to learn about the other dishes being prepared. Throughout the evening, Chef Halise will share stories about their food and culture, and explain how to prepare each of the dishes so you come away with some new cooking tricks and inspiration from Turkey. You will also be emailed the recipes after the class. Menu , subject to change : Karniyarik (Fried Aubergine with Lamb Mince) | Meat (Lamb) Imam Bayildi (Stuffed fried aubergine) | Vegan Sarma (Stuffed Vine Leaves) | Vegan Kisir (Bulgur Wheat Salad) | Vegan; Gluten (Wheat) Haydari (Yoghurt and Cucumber Dip) | Vegetarian; Milk, Tree Nuts (Walnuts) Pilav (Turkish-style rice with vermicelli) | Vegetarian; Gluten (Wheat), Milk Pişi (Fried Bread) | Vegetarian; Gluten (Wheat), Eggs, Milk This menu contains meat ( lamb ) but is vegetarian friendly (6/7 dishes are meat free). Allergens include : gluten, milk, tree nuts, eggs. Kindly note that we will not be substituting any ingredients to accommodate dietary needs, so please only book into classes that suit your dietary requirements. Please see our Food and Allergens Policy for more information. A message from our Chef Halise: “My name is Halise. I am from eastern Turkey, although at university I met people from other regions and learnt about various different cultures and recipes. I grew up in a big city with my three big sisters who were already helping my mum in the kitchen. I was always asking ‘Please can I help?’ By the time I got to university I had learned how to cook just by watching! In the summer I loved going to stay with my mum’s family, who lived in a village. They grew and cooked their own vegetables. There I had my Grandma all to myself and learned to make yoghurt and cheese, which I still make for my own family. Big meals at home with family and friends were an important part of our lives. We had to be strong to manage the huge pots we used. Our food traditions are very varied with lots of different recipes for meat and vegetables.” We’re excited to have you in the class! Please take note of a few final reminders: We will send you a reminder email 3 days before the class takes place. We require a certain number of participants to run this class and reserve the right to cancel it due to insufficient enrolment . If this occurs, we will, at your convenience, transfer you to another class of your choice of the same value. If this option does not suit you, you will have the choice to receive either a gift voucher for the class or a full refund. In the case of insufficient enrolment, we will inform you at least 6 days before the class. Ingredients used in our classes contain, may contain, or may have been manufactured/prepared on shared equipment with the 14 allergens listed above. We cannot guarantee that any food or drink prepared or consumed in any of the Migrateful Cookery Classes are free from any of the 14 allergens, or any other ingredient. Migrateful’s Cookery Classes are hosted in our busy cookery school or in external venues that handle allergens. "Not only has the front man got the look and sound of Johnny Cash, he's backed by good band and also a great June Carter! .... Love to see you again soon somewhere!! TOP NIGHT!! KEEP IT GOING!!” - Jazz Cafe, London As is so often the case with unique artists, it takes another one to fully appreciate them. Having lived the life and music of Johnny Cash and other country heroes who came before and since, Ben, aka CASH, has effortlessly recreated the sound, vibe and appeal of the master himself. There's two types of people in this world: Those who like Johnny Cash and those that don't know a damn thing about music. CASH are dedicated to making sure as many people as possible get into the know... Growing up on a farm in Yorkshire, music has always been central to Ben’s life. With a Grandfather who was a big band drummer, and a Father with a vast musical collection enthusiastically shared with whoever would listen, music was everywhere. However, it was the music of a certain JR Cash that managed that rare feat of stopping a young and energetic Ben in his tracks. It gave him that first “light bulb” moment, as he recalls, “I had heard music before, of course. But this voice. His voice. I mean it literally brought me to a standstill. The words too. They just struck a chord with me somewhere and I really felt I understood what he was saying. I got this man, even as a child I could feel it”. “JR has always been rough around the edges and I don’t know why but I always felt I was born with an outlaw’s approach to life. Not that I was out there robbing trains or anything, but it was more of a mentality; just something inside of me really”. Being a drummer first, it took a bit of coaxing from family and friends before Ben decided to take the Cash alter-ego seriously. “I have always felt a bit weird about pretending to be anyone else other than myself, so the concept of being Johnny Cash didn’t really appeal”, says Ben. “People were continuously telling me I had to do something with all this Cash stuff, so I decided I would start taking it more seriously, but the word tribute was key. I would pay my respects to the man by getting his stuff out there again; reaching out to established and new fans, but in no way would I try to be him. That is just not doable in my eyes, so I don’t want people thinking I think I am him. Cos I don’t!” Information Source: The Fleece Bristol | eventbrite

Yoga Cultural Experiences
Join me for an immersion in transformational breathwork, kundalini Global yoga and sound bath in The Mount Without where we’ll be accessing altered states of being. Breath is a powerful tool we can harness to regulate the nervous system, release stress and tension in the body, and enter a deep state of calm and presence. When we combine breath and posture it allows us to quiet our minds and open our hearts, expanding our energetic field, and accepting ourselves completely as we are. Some breaths will be energetic, some incredibly soft and gentle. Both will allow us to experience complete stillness. Working with the science of these divine ancient practices can significantly reduce anxiety, depression, and addictive behaviours, creating a profound sense of balance within the self. There is an ever-expanding body of research that supports the benefits of yoga, breathwork and meditation in improving and maintaining overall mental and physical health. One of the many beautiful aspects of working with yoga and the breath is that they gift us the ability to ‘self-regulate’: the state of presence we experience removes the need to reach outside ourselves for something to soothe us. The art of these classes is to discover that you can change how you feel. Our feelings are not in our head, but in our bodies. We have autonomy, and yoga and breath can change our physical and emotional state, our hormonal flow, and ultimately how we feel and experience ourselves. What to expect: Through a dynamic practice of breathwork , and Yoga we’ll activate the energic body, finding deep presence, expansion, and often blissful states. Release stress and tension while finding stillness, whether through energising or soft, gentle breathwork. Each session ends with a crystal bowl sound bath, leaving you in a deeper state of relaxation. No experience is necessary, and I aim to create a safe, welcoming space for all. Please note, these classes are not suitable during pregnancy. Information Source: Lucy Spragge | eventbrite

Zumba Toning involves holding hand held light 'Maraccas' so you can shake them to the beat or use them as if they are weights. The songs I use are often slower or have easier to follow moves so you can really get into the song and into the fitness aspect quickly. They are just as much fun as Zumba but with a slightly more effective outcome. The class is about 45-50 minutes of Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton & Cumbia dances mixed in with other fantastic World music. I have a Room or Zoom option as I still have clients that join online from home so you can still do the class even if you can't leave the house! Suitable for everyone, beginners and experts it doesn't matter if you have danced for years or never tried before, you'll be wiggling & giggling to the brilliant music and haveing a great time. Manufacturing is a critical sector in the UK, employing over 2.6 million and contributing ~9% of GDP to the UK economy. With the race to net zero, heightened geopolitical uncertainty, rapid technological advances and continuous disruptions to supply chains, remaining competitive is increasingly challenging. Against the backdrop of these challenges, there is a need for stronger collaboration between industry and academia to drive continuous innovation and solve the more complex problems of today and of the future. The benefits from industry-academia collaboration are symbiotic. Through the combination of sector- and discipline-specific knowledge and expertise, these partnerships enable industry and academic groups to work together and co-design research programmes which will inform and underpin industry’s response to these challenges. Such partnerships will allow a broad spectrum of opportunities, including: Shared knowledge and skills New research informed opportunities for innovation and commercialisation Embedding world-leading research with manufacturing practice Access to additional research and innovation funding routes Access to world leading resources, including state of the art technology and equipment (e.g. Bristol Digital Futures Institute, Isambard AI) Access to world-leading staff and students at the University of Bristol Co-design educational programmes to create the work force of the future The aim of this event is to bring together the manufacturing community with the University of Bristol Business School, a leading Business School in the UK, to develop and drive forward a collaborative, interdisciplinary research agenda. Fashion Design Cultural Experiences
Learn how to design better SuDS and better places, from award-winning pioneers and recognised leaders in the field of SuDS. This in-person masterclass dives right into how to adopt design approaches that will enable you to unlock the potential of integrated SuDS design on any project, no matter how challenging. These approaches consistently lead to better landscapes and developments that deliver more benefits for people, wildlife and the wider environment, more layers of meaning and more design fulfilment, as well as being more functionally effective, robust, cost-effective and easy to maintain. By demystifying the hydraulic modelling and introducing techniques that allow you to easily design with and understand ‘the volumes’ as building blocks in your designs, you will learn to design SuDS more creatively, flexibly and intuitively – like playing with water flow on the beach! We’ll explore the many guises and applications of the range of SuDS techniques and give guidance on how to choose which are appropriate where. Together we’ll do some practical workshop exercises to apply what we’re learning through the day, and explore the added value that reuniting rain positively with landscapes can bring. AND, we’ll empower you to challenge some of the blockages and barriers that get put in front of you in your projects. Our aim: to inspire, educate and empower. About the trainers: Kevin Barton FLI : As Managing Director at Robert Bray Associates, Kevin has led and overseen the design and implementation of many successful and award-winning landscapes. Kevin has been invited to present on climate resilient landscape topics at conferences and professional forums in the UK and Europe. He has also delivered lectures and workshops to universities in the UK and Czech Republic. Kevin is a Design Council Specialist Expert for climate resilient design and SuDS, and has provided expert SuDS training and guidance documents to a number of councils and NGOs. Kevin also delivers the national Designing SuDS and SuDS Evaluation training on behalf of CIRIA. Judith Puckmayr : Judith has been working as a Landscape Architect for over 19 years in several landscape architecture practices both within the UK and Austria. During her professional career she has worked on a diverse range and scale of projects from large-scale urban regeneration masterplanning projects to small- scale detail design schemes within a wide range of sectors such as housing, schools, health care, mining landscape regeneration and river and floodplain restoration. Judith has led the design and implementation of a number of successful landscape schemes integrating SuDS.
