These principles guide our programming and artistic planning. We are pleased to introduce this year’s festival artists - celebrated musicians from around the country and from the Carolinas, many joining the festival for the first time. GRAMMY-winner Brandon Patrick George and period instrument ensemble, Les Délices, join for weeks 2 and 3, respectively. North Carolinians, Nicolas DiEugenio, Mimi Solomon and Kara Poorbaugh join for week 4. We began planning this year’s festival over a year ago. Together, we and the performing artists developed programs that blend beloved older works and contemporary voices around the season’s theme, A Musical Journey.
