CLEARWATER: Marketing for Hippies 101 Daylong Workshop - Live | Elk's Lodge

Marketing can feel good. That's the premise of this workshop. You don't need to sell your soul to sell your work. Too much marketing (even by savvy, conscious entrepreneurs) creates either no response or seems “over-hyped” and triggers a “used car salesman” reaction. In short, it feels awful. Since 2001, I have traveled around North America & Europe working with conscious entrepreneurs just like you. Some successful, others struggling. And I've gathered quite the assortment of success stories and strategies right from the horses' mouths. This workshop is my best distillation and collection of those practices and stories. This workshop is for those who know they need to market but who hate marketing. You don’t have to choose between ethics and effectiveness. You can sell successfully and sleep soundly. In general, here's who this workshop is for: Most of the folks who've come are service providers of some kind: in the Healing Arts or a Holistic Practitioner, a Therapist, Massage Therapist or Body-worker, Yoga Instructor, Herbalist, Shamanic Practitioner, Life-Coach, Meditation Teacher etc. But I've also had crafters, farmers and permaculture folks and they've loved it too. Everyone is welcome. In this workshop you will learn how to: Apply the Seven Fundamentals of the Marketing for Hippies approach (Space, Ethics, Niching, Point of View Marketing, Business Model, Hub Marketing, and Sharing). Get more word-of-mouth and attract more of the clients you want (without ever sacrificing your integrity or spending a fortune). Apply my best core ethical marketing strategies on how to market your business in a way that’s genuinely good-vibes, deeply respectful, trauma-informed, consent-based, conscience-driven, courteous, and that honours the dignity of everyone involved (including you). Market your beautiful work beautifully – in a way that makes the world better. Market with no fake scripts, no pitching, no inauthentic self-promotion, no high-pressure sales tactics, no manipulating anyone and make sure your marketing gets a positive response and creates warm feelings of trust. This is marketing you’ll actually do. My name is Tad Hargrave and I want to invite you to come and join us for this day-long workshop, my signature event that I call Marketing for Hippies 101. PRICE: $25 deposit + Pay What You Want at the End. What does this mean? You pay $25 to secure your spot. And then you get to enjoy the workshop and, at the very end, you can pay me whatever you'd like to pay. It's an honest-to-goodness, decide-at-the-end, no funny business, pay-what-you-can/want deal. OR: Pay a flat $300 market value fee for the workshop upfront. If that feels good and convenient for you, please choose this option. It's something that's been requested a number of times so I'm trying it out, but either way is fine by me. IMPORTANT: CANCELLATIONS These events often sell out. If you cancel last minute, no-show, or leave early please remember that someone who could have attended for the entire day could have had your space. If you aren't committed to coming, please wait until the last minute to see if any spots are available to someone planning to be there for the full day. WHAT TO BRING: Pen and paper , or a fresh document on your computer. Payment: I prefer cash. Otherwise, please be prepared to send me your PWYC fee at the end of the workshop. I'll send you an email with a link to a payment button to make this payment online via PayPal or credit card. SCHEDULE: This day is a mix of lecture, hands-on exercises, reflection groups and Q&A based as you learn the core content of my approach to marketing. MORNING: Three Hours of Workshop (fifteen minute break halfway through) LUNCH: 90 Minutes AFTERNOON: Three and a Half Hours (fifteen minute break halfway through) So that’s it. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at mfhtour@gmail.com otherwise I hope to see you there. Stay Human, Tad Hargrave Founder, marketingforhippies.com PS: BONUS! When you register for this workshop you'll get a copy of my ebook How to Start . This book is a practical and refreshing, seven-step workbook to use when marketing feels gross and awkward (you can do it all in one lazy, rainy afternoon and you'll use it for the rest of the life of your business). How to Start is a tiny workbook about a little idea that could make a big difference in every piece of marketing you ever do from here on. Here’s the little idea: what if you made the heart of your marketing strategy about how your marketing feels to you and others? TESTIMONIALS: What People Are Saying About My Workshops: “Just watched the Marketing for Hippies 101 workshop from the Starter Kit. By FAR the best workshop I’ve ever done . I totally feel the weird pressure off of me and ideas are pouring in.“ – Tricia Scott * "Thank you for your starter kit. It is really the first type of marketing that has felt good to me . I am so grateful that you share all of this content for free. As a new start up I wouldn't be in a position to pay for all the information." * "I want to thank you for your Starter Kit. I was feeling down, doubting myself and your videos made me feel better straight away! I have so much debt from so many courses that were NOT a fit for me. ” – MMG * " I've learned and understood more about marketing in this workshop, than I have done in years. " * " I learned more practical and useful marketing strategies in Tad’s one day workshop than I did in my five year university business degree. It’s been three months since I attended Marketing for Hippies 101 and I have been taking his practical advice to a “T”. I nearly sold out my 40 person retreat this past weekend, have connected with several “hubs”, and finally have a business model that is profitable. His workshop was like the magic comb I didn’t know was possible to straighten out the mess and just have a simple marketing strategy that actually fucking works." – Garett Rokosh * "I’m already putting in a good 3 hours a week with free materials. I’ve got some momentum and you/your framework makes sense and I enjoy it and have made more progress than with $10k business coaching investments." About Tad Hargrave Tad Hargrave is a hippy who developed a knack for marketing (and then learned to be a hippy again). Since 2001, he has been weaving together strands of ethical marketing, Waldorf School education, a history in the performing arts, local culture making, anti-globalization activism, an interest in his ancestral, traditional cultures, community building and supporting local economies into his work helping people create profitable businesses that are ethically grown while restoring the beauty of the marketplace. We are proud to host our dear friend and fellow Florida State Seminole, Senator Joe Gruters, for an evening of conversation and cocktails. This is not a fundraiser - it’s a “friend-raiser”. Joe has been a longtime friend of ours, and we want to introduce him to the community. As a CPA and dedicated public servant, Joe has spent his career advocating for Florida’s businesses and families. He is now running for Florida’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a critical statewide position responsible for overseeing the state’s finances, insurance regulations, and fiscal accountability. Joe has already earned the endorsement of President Donald Trump, and we couldn’t be more excited to support him in this race. We hope you’ll join us for a fun and relaxed evening to meet Joe, hear about his vision, and connect with fellow friends and leaders. Nashville-based artist Liz Longley is set to return with a soon-to-be-announced new album next Spring, and in the meantime, she has shared a new single from the upcoming set called " Start Again ." Co-written with Issac Fox, "Start Again" follows singles " Wake You Up " and " More Than Ever ," all helmed by 5x GRAMMY Award-nominated producer Paul Moak. The new music reveals a woman embracing a slew of firsts, documenting Longley’s transition into motherhood and the dizzying changes in perspective, routine, and peace that followed, all explored through her signature blend of self-aware storytelling and gorgeous melodies.  “I feel like my brain split in half when I became a mom,” Longley says. “Your world gets smaller, and you’re overwhelmed by every little moment. I dealt with a lot of postpartum depression and anxiety, so there was a lot of relearning how to do things with a new human around. A lot of that journey is what fed into these songs.”    Several songs on Longley's upcoming full-length grapple with the inevitable shifts in relationships that parenthood brings. Channeling sultry bossa nova, “Start Again” captures familiar lovers longing for the fire that first brought them together. Longley thinks of it as a sister song to “Torture,” the smoldering love song featured on her 2020 LP  Funeral For My Past . Longley previously garnered widespread acclaim for  Funeral For My Past , which arrived after an amicable split with her former label, Concord / Sugar Hill Records, and a wildly successful crowd-funding campaign that placed her as the fourth most-funded solo female musician ever on Kickstarter. The record's warm sound was also produced by Moak and brought to life by a cast of esteemed players known for records by Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Jake Bugg, Ingrid Michaelson, Kim Richey, Cam, and more.    Funeral For My Past  landed on  Newsweek 's "100 Albums Released in 2020 to Put on Your Radar" with  No Depression  praising, "Longley mixes twangy songsand scruffy pop-rock that could soundtrack a major movie (or real-life) moment. It’s the roaring bonfire you throw everything that’s tied to bad memories into, but it’s also the sizzling, smoky embers when the flames die down."  Billboard  lauded the "Americana and gospel-flavored soul, shimmering pop anthems and touches of jazz;" while  Folk Alley  noted, "Longley's incredibly versatile voice feels right at home in this velvet lounge of a sonic setting."  American Songwriter  added, "Liz Longley is a standout singer in a city that offers no shortage of superb singer/songwriters."   Longley will be performing music new and old on a series of tour dates across the U.S. this year Information Source: Wiley House Concerts | eventbrite

Australian Singer/Songwriter Rick Price has walked the journey many musicians’ dreams are made of. From his humble beginnings as a child performer with his family band in country Queensland dance halls, this self-taught artist has forged an internationally praised and respected career spanning three decades. Multiple gold and platinum selling albums and numerous music industry awards including the prestigious APRA Song Of The Year award for his song “Heaven Knows” and both the APRA and Export Music Australia awards for his outstanding achievements abroad, are just some of his accolades. In 2009 a move to the United States sparked not only new influences and a broader style for Price but also a return to his childhood musical roots. While there are still echoes of a pop artist, country rhythm and blues, meld beautifully with folk undertones to create the hybrid sounds of albums such as “The Water’s Edge” , “Tennessee Sky”, “Soulville”, and “Wayfaring Stranger” Audiences all over the globe are moved by Rick’s amazing voice and soulful songs. A multi-instrumentalist, he is clearly the consummate performer. Price is also a well-respected Producer, working with international artists such as Tina Arena, Girlfriend, Tommy Emmanuel, and Phillipino superstar Morissette. Currently Rick resides in Nashville, Tennessee where he continues to write and record his music. Information Source: Wiley House Concerts | eventbrite

Kristy Lee’s penetrating voice and intense, soulful lyrics touch people down deep – in the places where only the best music can reach. Just like the Alabama backroads she grew up on, her sultry voice wraps around your senses and takes you places you didn’t know you were missing. Kristy’s raw authenticity has captured the hearts of a loyal international fan base as well as some of music’s top names. She has shared the stage with Leon Russell, Zac Brown Band, Indigo Girls, G. Love & Special Sauce, Jack Johnson, Jason Isbell and Imagine Dragons – to name a few. She has played some of the most prestigious music festivals in the world including BluesFest Australia, the Hangout Fest, 30A Songwriters Festival, Cayamo & The Rock Boat Festivals at Sea, and her own conception, Pensacola Unleashed in Pensacola, Florida. Kristy recorded her first album when she was 18 years old and has since recorded three others, with her latest release (Aug 2023), The Olive Tree debuting at #1 on the iTunes blues charts. Her original song “One Night Romance” has been recorded by G. Love and 60’s soul legend, Mary Clayton – it is the ultimate incarnation of the “Dirt Road Soul” Kristy Lee has become known for. When you meet Kristy it is obvious that she is an old soul. She is a true creative. When she’s not writing new music or traveling the world sharing her message of love and light, Kristy is making hand-poured small batch candles full of good vibes, and is painting her hopeful words on canvas. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012, and her creative spirit is proving to be the therapy that is stronger than the disease. Her music transcends genres, lifts heavy spirits and promotes the healing that we all sometimes need. Her songs tend to be true stories of her own journey, her loved one’s struggles and accomplishments, and overall positive messages that the world can relate to – and needs to hear. Kristy’s unique style of music is the background music to all our lives. Open your ears and let her in – your heart will most certainly be filled.
