BACKGROUND
The Saskatchewan Al Industry Roundtables will bring together key stakeholders to explore current Al use, identify barriers, and uncover opportunities for broader adoption in the province. Insights from these discussions will be compiled into an AiSK “What We Heard” report showcasing the current state of AI use in Saskatchewan. This report will be shared with AiSK Members, the Chamber, Roundtable Participants and Innovation Saskatchewan.
10:00 AM - 10:15 AM:
Welcome & Objectives
· AiSK: Organization Overview, Role & Mandate, Roundtable Series. Proposed definition of AI to help shape the discussions.
· Innovation Saskatchewan: Role & Mandate, How AI can contribute to the Government of Saskatchewan’s goal to “Triple the growth of Saskatchewan's technology sector by 20230”.
· Participants: Please provide an overview of your organization – with a particular focus on: your footprint in Saskatchewan (sectors, team size, customer base, core strategy, etc.). We want to understand the size, scope and services provided by participating organizations.
10:15 AM – 11:00 AM:
INTERNAL AI Adoption, Opportunities and Challenges
· Thinking specifically about your organization’s internal journey with AI, please explain:
o How are you using AI within your organization currently?
o When did you first notice the team using AI, how has the journey been in terms of adoption to get to your current state?
o How formal has the use of AI been managed? For example, did you develop policies and procedures, carry out legal reviews, staff training, board approval, ethical reviews, etc. Or, was it more of an organic process?
o Have a certain demographic or certain job role led the adoption internally?
o Has there been push back or a reluctance from some staff to AI?
o Has AI improved productivity?
o Has AI led to job cuts, hiring for new skills, training needs, etc?

o To what extend do you incorporate AI into creating products or delivering services
o How as AI changed the service you provide to clients?

o What are the technical, financial, training, capacity issues to increasing use of AI?
o What has been the reaction from clients been to your use of AI? For example, do they ask what products and services have used AI?
o What are the key ethical, privacy and legal issues to using AI to serve you clients?
o What does the future of AI use in your sector look like?
