The Way of Jesus ~ Discipleship Training Many pastors and leaders today have a great desire to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20. Still, they are challenged to find the means to engage the church members they serve effectively in discipleship and disciple-making. Today, our churches often do not have disciple-making as a primary focus but rather are following a cultural pattern of “church,” which does not promote the multiplication of disciples. In this seminar, Tom Johnston will lead a very practical conversation on how the methodology of Jesus is still the most effective way of making disciples. Rooted in the Scriptures and drawing from Tom’s 35 years of pastoral ministry, participants will delve deeply into the disciple-making practice of Jesus as well as how to make practical application in their churches today. During this foundational course, you’ll explore each rune’s name, shape, and core meaning—learning how these ancient symbols were historically used for writing, divination, and magical practice. Then, continue with our follow on workshop “Learn the Elder Futhark Runes Next Steps” which builds on your foundational knowledge. Here, you’ll practice more in-depth reading techniques, discover how to cast runes for spellcraft and divination, and learn to combine rune energies through binding. By working with the Elder Futhark—originating around the 2nd and evolving through the 8th century AD—you’ll connect with the rich tapestry of Norse and Germanic heritage while gaining the practical skills to read and interpret runes in a modern context.
