E.J. Koh is an acclaimed author, celebrated for her memoir, The Magical Language of Others, which has garnered prestigious accolades such as the Washington State Book Award, Pacific Northwest Book Award, and Association for Asian American Studies Book Award. Additionally, the memoir was longlisted for the PEN Open Book Award. Koh's poetry collection, A Lesser Love, has also received critical acclaim, winning the Pleiades Press Editors Prize for Poetry. She is an accomplished translator as well, recognized for her translation of Yi Won's poetry collection, The World's Lightest Motorcycle, which received the Literature Translation Institute of Korea's Translation Grand Prize.
