Boots on the Ground is a workshop for those who have served in military, are currently serving and/or first responders (fire/police/paramedic). Join us for a transformative 2-hour workshop with horses—a unique experience that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Through hands-on interactions, you’ll discover how these intuitive animals can help us better understand ourselves and uncover what might be ‘off’ in our lives. This workshop is perfect if you’ve felt stuck, overwhelmed, or found that traditional approaches haven’t provided the clarity you need. By the end of this experience, you’ll gain powerful insights into how human behavior mirrors horse behavior, leaving you feeling more grounded, self-aware, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. No riding experience is necessary and all activities take place on the ground. Facilitated by Laura Boyko, an approved VAC provider. Laura holds a Master degree in Educational Leadership, Master of Social Work degree, is an ICF Leadership Coach (ACC) and certified equine assisted learning facilitator. She has managed over 12 teams and hundreds of staff during her leadership tenure. Direct billing is available through VAC. What past participants have said about Stable Works events: "I was a bit scared at the beginning of the day as I came alone, but I left with new friends and no fear!"
