Hello, My name is Helen McCormick and I'm a local artist and qualified art and design teacher. I've been creating objects from clay for over 28 years, and I still absolutely love the process. I am passionate about teaching and have created this workshop to share my skills, knowledge and experience with anyone who would like to have a go for the first time or to develop their skills further. My workshop is designed to be a relaxed friendly space where you can meet new people and have the opportunity to create, learn and have fun. Throughout the day I will teach you how to make a hare sculpture using traditional hand-building techniques. No experience necessary. All materials and equipment will be provided. Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the day. The only thing you need to bring is a packed lunch, an apron and wear old clothes if possible. After the workshop, I will carefully take your sculpture home and fire it in my kiln. These sculptures are not glazed as the terracotta will age beautifully in your garden over time. Your sculpture will be ready to collect approximately 6 weeks after the workshop. I will let you know the date and time once they are ready. There is no parking at Nancy Potter House. The Adult Intermediate Tap - Fall 2023 class at The Moving Company Dance Studio in Topsham is designed for adults with a strong foundation in tap who are looking to enhance their skills and explore more advanced techniques. The class meets every Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with the exception of Tuesday, October 31st. There will be a makeup class on Monday, November 20th for that particular week.
