Bat Talk & Walk @ Parkridge | The Parkridge Centre

Join us on Saturday 5th July 2025
at Parkridge Visitor Centre for our Bat Talk & Walk!
First, you’ll learn all about British bats at a presentation in the Parkridge Visitor Centre, before heading out on a guided evening walk around Parkridge Reserve with our bat detectors. Hopefully, you will see and hear some bats! There will also be hot drinks (tea and instant coffee) available during the presentation, with alternative milks available.

· All attendees are to meet at the Parkridge Visitor Centre from 8.30pm onwards. The event will begin promptly at 8.45pm and the Visitor Centre door closed after this.
· Due to the nature of this event, including theme, presentation and time of day, this event is recommended for those 14 years and above.
· There are no refunds for this event, unless the Trust cancels the event for any reason. Outside of this, refunds are made on a case-by-case discretionary basis.
· The event takes place on a Nature Reserve during sunset and nighttime. Appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing should be worn. The paths we will walk for this event are accessible and paved.
· Parkridge Visitor Centre & Reserve lies within Brueton & Malvern Parks, owned by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. These parks are not lit at night. The Car Park lies outside of Brueton Park on Warwick Road, and is a five minute walk through the park. It is strongly recommended to bring a torch for the return journey through the park.

Come along in your Christmas dresses or Christmas jumpers, to Lily & Lolly's very first CHRISTMAS IN JULY themed community craft & vintage fair ... and enjoy a free, fun afternoon out in a wonderful setting, suitable for the whole family!
There will be live music and entertainment with the fabulous Reza Farrell who will be taking us back in time to the 1940's and performing Christmas classics throughout the decades.
Afternoon tea, refreshments, mince pies and Christmas cake will be served by the wonderful Lily's Pop-Up Tea Parlour.
Plus, of course, we will have a fantastic selection of Christmas themed stalls from small local businesses, crafters and vintage traders, where you can shop for unique gifts or treat yourself. Shop small and help support local businesses through these difficult times.
The raffle will be drawn at 3.30pm.
If the raffle winner is not in the room we will call you and you can collect your prize. One winner wins the whole raffle hamper (a prize from every stall). £1 a ticket (cash only).
We will all be dressed Christmassy, the stalls will be Christmas themed, we will be playing Christmas music, and serving mince pies in the tea room (amongst the usual delicious cakes!) because ... why not?!?!
Come and enjoy a Christmassy day with us before we all go off on our summer holidays!

Through the lens of the Islamic tradition, participants will gain valuable insights into faith-based strategies and practical steps to enhance personal development, strengthen family bonds, and contribute positively to the growth of our communities. By bridging this generational gap, we hope to empower individuals and families to navigate the complexities of the modern world while upholding timeless values.
