After the incredible success of our inaugural run in 2023, we are back with even more excitement for 2024. The Half Marathon course takes you through a picturesque trail, with about 90% of the route on a trail and the remaining 10% on asphalt. From the start near the famous Merry Go Round on Fire Road, you'll experience the beauty of the Upper Old Zoo Trail, the hills with stunning views on the Bill Eckert Trail, and a mostly downhill stretch on asphalt for miles 3-5. Miles 6 and 7 feature rolling hills, followed by an all downhill mile at mile 8. The course finishes with a quick flat trail for miles 9-13. For those participating in the 12K, the course shares the same start line as the Half Marathon. You'll pass through the historic Griffith Park Zoo, conquer some hills, and enjoy a quick flat trail for miles 4-7. Registered runners will enjoy free coffee from GOODJUJU COFFEE and a morning warm-up led by Pasadena Basecamp Fitness. There will also be a variety of goodies for the first few registrations, so make sure to register early. On race day, packet pickup will be available at the start line for those unable to pick up beforehand. Late registration is also available, but please note that cash payments will only be accepted if exact change is provided. Take advantage of the different registration fees, ranging from $39 to $115, depending on the event and registration date. Registered runners will receive a custom finisher medal, official race t-shirt, custom race bib, and free downloadable online race photos and finisher certificate. Chip timing, music, and finish line water/snacks will also be provided.
