Laptop Orchestra (LOrk) - July 7-11, 9 a.m. to noon We will turn our computers into live, interactive, musical instruments, creating sounds from scratch and then hacking into the computer to remap the keyboard and trackpad to trigger the sounds. Sometimes we repurpose game controllers or even tilt the laptop side-to-side! Neither previous experience with computer programming or musical performance is required. Students will use Unity software to build their game environment, use the lab's Optitrack motion capture system to record movements, and put it all together into their own game. HBA of Western Michigan is proud to present the 35th Annual Parade of Homes showcasing the latest in-home building design and products. Houses included in the Parade exhibit the hottest trends in architecture, floor layout, building materials, energy efficiency and interior design. Square footage and prices range from starter homes to estates. These spectacular homes are located throughout Kalamazoo, Portage, Texas Corners, Plainwell, Gull Lake and more. The Parade of Homes is a self-guided tour where ticket holders can view as many homes as they like in any order they choose. Ticket purchases include the official Parade of Homes Guide Book which contains pictures and descriptions of each home, and a map.
