Boots on the Ground is a workshop for those who have served in military, are currently serving and/or first responders (fire/police/paramedic). Join us for a transformative 2-hour workshop with horses—a unique experience that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Through hands-on interactions, you’ll discover how these intuitive animals can help us better understand ourselves and uncover what might be ‘off’ in our lives. This workshop is perfect if you’ve felt stuck, overwhelmed, or found that traditional approaches haven’t provided the clarity you need. By the end of this experience, you’ll gain powerful insights into how human behavior mirrors horse behavior, leaving you feeling more grounded, self-aware, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. No riding experience is necessary and all activities take place on the ground. Facilitated by Laura Boyko, an approved VAC provider. Laura holds a Master degree in Educational Leadership, Master of Social Work degree, is an ICF Leadership Coach (ACC) and certified equine assisted learning facilitator. She has managed over 12 teams and hundreds of staff during her leadership tenure. Direct billing is available through VAC. What past participants have said about Stable Works events: "I was a bit scared at the beginning of the day as I came alone, but I left with new friends and no fear!" "The rain couldn’t dampen the excitement with the horses. I could feel their energy, which initially made me nervous, but Laura and the other facilitators were so attentive that I left feeling really relaxed!" " A unique way to do some self-care." "The horses were so fun and it was a cool experience to be so close to them. " This event is hosted by Stable Works, an equine assisted learning company that specializes in team building, special events, school groups, and personal development. Stable Works owner, Laura Boyko, is a certified equine facilitator through Dreamwinds Equine Learning, holds a Master in Education-Leadership, has taught for over 20 years in college/university classes, and has led over a dozen teams in her career. Laura always has additional trained co-facilitators at each event to assist participants with any questions or concerns you may have. Fleetwood Mac Mania is a stunning visual and musical tribute to Fleetwood Mac with each veteran performer using their spirit to re-create the look and feel of Fleetwood Mac. With the added solo hits of Stevie Nicks as part of the show, this concert provides a package deal performance that has surprised and captivated audiences from coast-to-coast. The band’s front line captures the harmonies and chemistry of Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, and Lindsey Buckingham that made Fleetwood Mac one of the most successful bands of our time. Fleetwood Mac Mania’s rhythm section, with their years of world class experience, hold down the signature Mick Fleetwood and John McVie driving rhythms to perfection, accurately recreating the full intensity of Fleetwood Mac.
