The Indiana USA Gymnastics Champions Banquet is a night to celebrate excellence, dedication, and achievement. We honor State and Regional All-Around Champions, Eastern and National Qualifiers, and graduating seniors who have dedicated years to the sport. Join us on Saturday, June 21st, at Bel Air Events Center in Kokomo, Indiana. Doors open at 1:30 PM, and the event begins at 2:00 PM, running approximately 3-4 hours. Join us for a fun-filled day of competition and see if you have what it takes to be crowned the 3-point shooting champion. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this contest is open to all skill levels. Get ready to put your **shooting** abilities to the test and compete against other basketball enthusiasts. Bring your A-game and aim for nothing but net as you take on the challenge. We can't wait to see you at the IUK Cougars and Kokomo Bobkat 3-Point Shooting Contest! 3-point Shooting Contest Rules Time Limit: Contestants have 70 (1:10) seconds to shoot a set number of balls from five designated locations. Ball Placement: There are typically five locations: one at the top of the key and one on each wing and corner of the three-point arc. Points: Standard basketballs are worth one point, while colored money balls are worth two points. Shooting Order: Contestants can start at any location, but they must shoot the four standard basketballs before the money ball at that location. Scoring: The total score is determined by the number of made shots, with each shot being worth one point for a standard ball and two or three points for a money ball. First Round: Order of competition will be determined by random drawing, except that the returning champion will compete last. The three players with the highest scores advance to the Championship Round. Final Round: The top three scorers from the first round advance to a final round, where the same rules apply. The competition order for the Final Round will be determined by the inverse order of First Round scores. (e.g., the player with the lowest score in the First Round among the players who advanced shoots first in the Final Round.) Tiebreakers: To Advance from First Round – In the event of a tie to determine the Final Round participants, a30-second tiebreaker will take place using the same competition format described above. If necessary, this process will be repeated until the tie is broken. To Determine Champion – In the event of a tie to determine the Champion, a full 70-second (1:10)tiebreaker will take place.
