Ultimate Irish Dance Experience | Vaillant Live, DERBY | Becketwell Live

Arts
Created by Armstrong Dance, with original new music from Golden Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne ( Heartbeat of Home ), Celtic Throne—Psalter of Ireland is guaranteed to be an experience unlike any other! Celtic Throne reflects the wide-ranging talents and interests of its creators and dancers. First and foremost, it’s an Irish dance show, with plenty of the fancy footwork and formidable stomps made world-famous by iconic shows like Riverdance, Lord of the Dance and Heartbeat of Home . “We adore these shows; they are an inspiration,” says director Brad Macdonald. “We wouldn’t be doing this if these amazing productions hadn’t blazed the trail for us. But Celtic Throne is totally unique—we are blazing our own trail!” Watching beautiful, happy children, some as young as 7 and 8, dancing and playing music will melt your heart. Sensational gymnastics and martial arts will have you on the edge of your seat and remind you of watching the Olympics. Our live musicians electrify even the most reserved audiences, transporting them to a cozy Irish pub. The dance and music are enhanced by stunning costumes, an elaborate set, sensational lighting and special effects, and dramatic video storytelling on a gigantic, state-of-the-art LED screen. “Imagine taking a classic Irish dance show and blending it with a West End musical and a Hollywood movie,” says Macdonald. “This is what we have done with Celtic Throne—Psalter of Ireland. You won’t find better value for your money—it’s three experiences in one!” Our dancers range in age from 5 to 25. The troupe is comprised mostly of students from the Carey Academy, some of whom have placed highly in Worlds, All Irelands, Great Britain and North American Nationals, and other top Irish dance competitions. William Barron is one of the unsung heroes of British garden design, often overshadowed by other famous horticulturists such as Capability Brown and Humphrey Repton. Barron’s designs have been enjoyed for more than 150 years, and this tour celebrates the jewel in his crown, Elvaston. Having paved the way for the generations of gardeners that followed him, Barron’s work continues to touch the lives of families and individuals seeking space, enjoyment, and relaxation in an increasingly urban society. Hey, Derby! When was the last time you did something completely spontaneous? Our series groups together complete strangers for a fun day out. That's right, you sign up, and we book the restaurant. We know life can get busy. Don't forget to spend time making new friends! Don't do city life alone and build your community with us. This project is to host dinners in 200 cities to combat loneliness while supporting locally owned businesses. We are dedicating 25% of sales towards charity or GoFundMe pages at the end of each month. This micro-event is intended to be for 4 people maximum. Check out our feature in Eventbrite's 2025 TRNDS report about embracing the micro-event trend. How does it work? -After you register, you'll be emailed an introduction message including a quick questionnaire regarding age, dietary restrictions, hobbies, and interests that we use to select restaurants for the night's group. -At the end of the month, we'll share sales reports with attendees and detail how we are utilizing 25% of sales towards social good. *Your registration does not include your individual food and drink purchases. A paid ticket simply makes you more committed to actually showing up. *These outings are intended to help people make friends . These are not singles gatherings . *The pin on the map IS NOT the official location, but a placeholder Eventbrite gives for your city. *If you sign up the day of the gathering and do not get a message from us in time, simply email ermantourageimpact@gmail.com, request a refund, or please be open to joining us on another evening. Our vision is simple: we take the no gimmicks approach to networking. No need for yet another app to take up space on your phone - just four walls and a roof and good food for people to connect :) We coordinate with you directly, human-to-human. If you have any more questions, please contact ermantourageimpact@gmail.com ! Brought to you by event series Ermantourage . Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally. We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas. Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink? Prefer a Pastry to a Pint? Head along to ‘ People Planet Pastry ’! Equally relaxed and welcoming, they run during the day and offer an informal way to learn about what is going on locally in sustainability. Your Volunteer Hosts Claire Zwozny-Bestwick : I'm often introduced as my business name ‘CRZyBest’ and that's great, because I am Claire R. Zwozny-Bestwick. I’m a non-traditional, eco-friendly Silversmith & Sculptor, working from my CRZyBest Shedquarters in Derby, creating tiny sculptures in metal clay and turning them into jewellery and accessories. Ensuring our world is a happy place is really important to me, so when making CRZyBest creations I always try my best to look after my customers and our planet too, which is why I make every effort to source my energy, tools and materials from sustainable and ethical sources. Before starting my business, I was a teacher for 20 years and I still very much enjoy supporting others in their businesses, creativity and sustainability journey. I’m a massive advocate of collaboration over competition and my favourite things to make are inspired by dogs and beer, so when I’m not creating in my Shedquarters, you can find me walking my dog or sharing stories with people in my favourite pub, so what better next step than to start hosting ‘People, Planet, Pint’ in The Flowerpot! Our Sponsor KRYSTAL are an award-winning, 100% renewably powered web hosting provider, with datacentres in the UK, US, & Europe. They are climate positive, and their approach centres on value, quality and transparency. We are delighted to announce our partnership with Krystal (the UK's only B Corp web hosting/cloud provider), and welcome them on board as sponsors of the People, Planet, Pint events. This means the first 10 drinks are on Krystal at every event, and has allowed us to invest and upscale the series to accelerate action on climate change. Simon Blackler is the founder of KRYSTAL , and Co-Founder of MillionTreePledge . About Us Small99 provides carbon reduction plans for micro and small businesses. With a simple measurement tool and practical actions broken down into 10 minute to-do lists, Small99 empowers the 99% of businesses to start on their sustainability journey, and win more customers while doing so. Very Very special guests on the night will come from our freinds James Warner Prophecies and Poundland so please get down early as any one of these bands should be headlining the show. Bad Milk Blood Robot BMBR weaves a sonic tapestry that melds the gritty, anarchic ethos of grunge with the mind-bending synth-laden kaleidoscope of psychedelia. Their music is a sonic odyssey, a journey through pop, the visceral power of rock, and at times fueled by a relentless groove. Or the music can always be labeled as weird and there is nothing else to it. BMBR are a musical cacophony [ https://badmilkbloodrobotuk.bandcamp.com/album/a-eye ] James Warner Prophecies After an absence of 'too frickin' long', James Warner Prophecies return to Derby.
