Experience the enchantment of transferring hand-painted designs onto textiles with the heat press at the Sublimation Textiles Printing Workshop with Dried Flowers. Led by esteemed artist Becky Vincer, this immersive workshop will allow you to explore sublimation printing techniques on textiles. With a focus on experimentation, you will have the opportunity to play with dried flowers, layering, stencils, masking, and collage to create stunning patterns and designs. Utilizing disperse dyes on paper, we will print onto synthetic fabrics sourced from various locations, including scrap stores, dead stock, and charity shops. During the workshop, you will gain insights into the printing process, generate numerous fabric samples and testers, and ultimately create larger, A4-sized pieces. These sublimation prints can be framed or used for a range of craft projects such as patchwork, quilting, sewing, fashion, and book covers. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own light-colored synthetic clothing or fabrics to print on. Please note that mixed fabrics, such as 50% cotton and 50% polyester, may result in a duller print. Join us for a captivating workshop that combines artistic expression with the technique of sublimation printing.
