Elana Arian shares Song & Story | Congregation Beth El

Sep 6, 2025 (UTC-4)
Sudbury
Musical Arts
Elana Arian creates an intimate evening of song and story, beginning with Havdalah, at Congregation Beth El. Together we’ll sing, listen, laugh, thrill, and respond to Elana’s extraordinary voice and generous, beautiful sharing of soul as she invites us into her music. “One of the greatest Jewish voices of our time.” - Cantor Aviva Marer A composer, multi-instrumentalist and prayer leader, Elana Arian is one of the leading voices in contemporary Jewish music. Elana’s music is part of Jewish life across the globe, and her compositions are sung in spiritual communities, summer camps, and synagogues from Chicago to the Czech Republic. Elana has released four albums of original music, and her compositions have been published in countless Transcontinental Music collections. Elana serves proudly on the faculty of Hava Nashira (Oconomowoc, WI), the Wexner Heritage Foundation (Aspen, CO), Shirei Chagiga (London, England), and Hebrew Union College in New York, where she teaches in the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music. Elana has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Tanglewood, and perhaps most memorably, five separate appearances at the (Obama) White House. She lives in the Hudson Valley with her wife, Julia, and their two daughters. To learn more about Elana and her music, visit elanaarian.com . Congregation Beth El of the Sudbury River Valley is joyful, participatory Judaism. We sing, learn, laugh, and pray together, and celebrate our varied backgrounds, identities, and experiences. We connect with Jewish values and traditions as we strive to create a more just future for ourselves, our children, and our world. To learn more about Congregation Beth El, visit bethelsudbury.org . No need to feel lost when your car makes strange noises or lights pop up on the dashboard. Let us help you feel more empowered moving forward. Plus, enjoy some pizza and drinks while getting a fun and interactive lesson on cars! Don't know if you will get value from this? Here is what our customers have said: May Reid: Just attended the "Know your Car" workshop with Christine. Fun presenter who really knows her stuff! I appreciated learning more about maintenance and safety features of my Toyota. The car cleaning tips sheet has lots of good ideas. It was interesting to see the underside of a car on a hoist. I was also glad to hear about the willingness of the staff at this dealership (now owned by the 401 Group of Companies) to answer questions and go over features of my vehicle at any time. Thanks also for the refreshments Highly recommend this presentation. Joanne Beattie: I attended the "Car Lady Canada" Event and I highly recommend it! Christine knows her stuff and shares lots of tips and tricks! Young or old, everyone should go and check out this event when it is offered again! A nice perk to customers and guests, even if it's not a Toyota. Information Source: The 401 Group of Companies | eventbrite
