BIO “We hope our audiences get a chance to escape the confines of time and the pressures of modern life” explains Jesse Iaquinto of Fireside Collective, “We prioritize groove so our listeners can dance and let loose. The pinnacle is when we all transcend our individual selves, both onstage and in the audience, and become one entity experiencing the precious nature of life. We are all one, and music allows us to experience that.” Inspired by the burgeoning art scene, close knit community, and natural beauty of Asheville, North Carolina, newgrass turned eclectic jam band Fireside Collective has been spent a decade working towards this very pinnacle. When the band first began, they hoped to integrate elements of bluegrass, folk and acoustic music, but focus mainly on original songs and compositions. But a few years in, the band took a hard dive into bluegrass and newgrass, inspired by Jerry Douglas, Tony Rice, and Bela Fleck among others. Fireside Collective spent years touring the bluegrass circuit, playing bluegrass festivals, and attending the IBMA conference and awards shows. They saw relatively quick success, winning the 2016 band contest at MerleFest, and charting #3 on the Billboard Bluegrass Charts with their 2020 release, “Elements”. But the Covid pandemic gave the band a chance to stop, reflect, and move forward with intention. While many bands disintegrated during the long and challenging pause in live music, Fireside Collective took the opportunity to reimagine their future as a band, incorporate their new interests and musical growth, and simultaneously look back on the original intentions behind the bands’ formation. When they began touring again, Fireside drew inspiration from jambands like The Grateful Dead, the group’s agreed upon North Star. There was significantly more improvisation, changing setlists from night to night, and longer musical movements. With the introduction of Michael Tillis on drums in late 2023, the sound expanded to include heavy funk elements as well as classic rock and even ventured into techno and world music. By the end of 2024, Fireside Collective had become a true hybrid, with a strong foundation in bluegrass and folk, and healthy doses of rock n’ roll and funk, all blended together in a unique and colorful amalgam of original music. We're extremely excited to ahve them back at Live at Hub City VIny Sunday April 6th! ** Never Miss a Sunday Show ** Information Source: Live at Hub City Vinyl | eventbrite

Crack the Sky traces its roots to early-seventies bands called Uncle Louie and Sugar. Uncle Louie featured John Palumbo on vocals and Rick Witkowski on guitar, while Sugar featured Joe Macre on bass and Jim Griffiths on guitar. Witkowski and Palumbo had auditioned for Terry Minogue, a nephew of Terry Cashman of CashWest Productions. Minogue convinced CashWest to give them a development deal so they could get a band together and record demos. Minogue later said, "They played some of the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life." Words (as the band was then known), initially a 10-piece band, downsized to five core members. The first incarnation of Crack the Sky included drummer Joey D'Amico, bassist Joe Macre, John Palumbo, Rick Witkowski, and Jim Griffiths on guitar. During that time, CashWest Productions started Lifesong Records, and Crack the Sky became the first band to release an album on that label. In 1975, the band released their first album, the critically acclaimed eponymous Crack The Sky , which reached 161 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Although praised by The New York Times and declared the "debut album of the year" by Rolling Stone , promotion and distribution problems with Lifesong Records prevented its widespread success. According to Terry Minogue, "Records were promised but never arrived at the distribution centers. The record would be on the radio but there would be no product on the store shelves or visa versa. When people wanted it, it would never be available." By what some termed blind luck, the marketing did work in Baltimore, only because a surplus of records was shipped there and put on display in stores when the album was receiving radio play. Subsequently, the album became very popular in Baltimore. Laidback Larry Allen, music director at WYDD in Pittsburg, professed love for the album and played Crack the Sky in heavy rotation, but no other place did. In 2015, their debut album was ranked number 47 in the Rolling Stone list of "50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time". Animal Notes , the band's second album, was intended originally as a rock opera about the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, but in production, the concept was reduced to only one song, "Rangers at Midnight". Like the band's debut release, it too was critically acclaimed, reaching number 142 on the Billboard 200 album chart, performing better than their first album. This time, the high concept and lack of "radio singles", due to the band's disdain for commercial music, contributed to lack of sales. The song "We Want Mine" was a slam at Lifesong Records for royalty withholdings. By this time, Crack the Sky had finished two cross-country tours and had opened for Styx, Supertramp, Rush, Foreigner, Electric Light Orchestra, Yes, ZZ Top, Kansas, Edgar Winter, Frank Zappa, and Boston. Now, it's 20th studio album, From The Wood was released on April 6, 2023. Crack The Sky takes a turn with an almost all acoustic album. Acoustic guitars, piano, dobro, ukulele, banjo, accordion, mandolin, bass, toy piano, djembe, and drums. Introspective but still unique and progressive. Much of the inspiration coming from one of the strangest of all times in our lives with isolation, separation, and comes anxiety, all thrust upon us by the global condition. Music that inspires, enflames, and reassures with twists and turns. John Palumbo continues to shape his vision of a world with his unique writing style. The guitar interplay from Rick Witkowski and Bobby Hird continues to propel the band in both new and familiar directions. Information Source: Live at Hub City Vinyl | eventbrite

Parker Barrow, the blues-infused Southern rock band led by husband and wife duo Megan Kane (vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums), supported by the formidable Alex Bender (guitar) is a powerhouse group, boasting a distinctive musical style. Forged from an immediate connection, the band finds inspiration in the infamous duo of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. Kane and Turner aim to infuse their music with the iconic energy of a dynamic duo, portraying a narrative where, instead of evading the law, they are a dynamic pair in pursuit of their rock ‘n’ roll dreams. Unleashing their full creative force, the band poured everything into their inaugural 10-track album, Jukebox Gypsies , released on August 11, 2023. This collection of songs chronicles the couple’s four-year journey, from a serendipitous meeting to navigating life on the road in an RV, capturing both the highs and lows. Each song serves as a reflection of their emotions and experiences, discovering a harmonious balance amid the chaos. “One of the best parts of releasing this album was getting to hear that people are connecting with our music and hearing people talk about our music the way we talk about some of our favorite bands,” Kane and Turner gushed. “It’s been an awesome ride with this record and we’re still enjoying the wave till we reach the shore and can paddle back out for round two!” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ten Ton Mojo Conjured on the streets, on the stages and in the studios of New York City, emerges Ten Ton Mojo – the new classic rock. Join us on Independence Day weekend for a British Invasion of a different sort as we welcome The McCartney Experience on SaturdayJuly 5th, celebrating the music of Sir Paul McCartney! From The beginngins with The Beatles to Wings and his solo career... there's no shortage of iconoic hits!! The McCartney Experience is an authentic tribute to the former Beatle, and leader Jed Duvall is practically Paul in appearance, mannerisms, and musical talent. The act features music from the early years of Beatlemania, throughout the career of the Fab Four. But unlike many Beatle tributes, the band expertly performs hits from McCartney's days with Wings, as well as the solo numbers Paul made famous. Jed and the band bring authenticity to a whole new level; for example, Duvall—a natural right-hander—taught himself to play left-handed, just like Sir Paul. And the rest of the band are seasoned musicians who tirelessly rehearse to get each song right. It's this dedication and hard work that make The McCartney Experience one of the most popular tributes to Paul McCartney. You'll be amazed—no "maybe" about it. https://www.mccartneyexperience.com/ Information Source: Live at Hub City Vinyl | eventbrite

Hailed by Rolling Stone as "the-supergroup-you-need-to-know," Fantastic Cat released their irrefutably titled debut, The Very Best Of Fantastic Cat , to widespread acclaim in 2022. The collection earned the vocal-trading, instrument-swapping collective their national TV debut, sold out headline dates around the US and Europe, a performance at the Sundance Film Festival, and a song in the Paramount+ series Tulsa King . In 2023, the velvet-suited four-piece teamed up with all-star producer Butch Walker for a 50th anniversary take on “Band On The Run,” which prompted Paul McCartney (Wings, The Beatles) to question his entire life's work. Individually, each member of Fantastic Cat boasts their own impressive resume along with appearances everywhere from the New York Times and the Tiny Desk to Bonnaroo and Cayamo. NPR said Anthony D’Amato “sings and writes in the tradition of Bruce Springsteen or Josh Ritter.” Paste declared Don DiLego's latest album a "stunner.” Rolling Stone called Brian Dunne’s new record “the sleeper album of the year” and praised Mike Montali’s band, Hollis Brown, as “the soundtrack for a late-night drive through the American heartland." Where the band's debut showcased the quartet as individual songwriters, their intoxicated/ing new album, Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat, finds the group writing collectively for the first time, leaning into their respective strengths to craft an alternately poignant and absurdist portrait of a modern world populated by disgraced heroes, disenchanted dreamers, and dead end jobs. The songs are at once hopeful and mordant, reckoning with a reality less shiny than it once seemed by refusing to succumb to the weight of disillusionment, and the performances are relentlessly buoyant to match, fueled by infectious hooks, lush harmonies, and gleefully unpredictable arrangements. Think CSNY if none of them were famous, or The Traveling Wilburys if none of them were famous, or the Eagles if they really didn’t get along. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jake Thistle, a rising singer-songwriter and New Jersey native, is known for his lyricism and musical storytelling. With a sound that blends classic rock sound with a modern pop sensibility, he crafts songs that resonate with all audiences. Being awarded multiple titles from Indie Boulevard and being named a “Rising Music Star” from The Boston Herald, Thistle has played for audiences all over the United States and Europe. Thistle has appeared on outlets such as CBS News, Variety, Billboard, American Songwriter Magazine, BBC Radio, The Record, WCBS FM, NYC's Q104.3 FM. Thistle has also assisted in raising over $100,000 in charitable donations to the American Cancer Society and the Light of Day Foundation. With a deep connection to his artistry, Thistle has worked with acclaimed musicians like John Hiatt, Lou Pallo (Les Paul), Ron Blair and Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Jim Keltner (Bob Dylan), Earl Slick (David Bowie/John Lennon), Jeff Slate (Rolling Stone) and many other great musicians. He's been on bills with the likes of Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks, Foo Fighters, Eddie Vedder, Roger McGuinn, Steve Earle, Tom Morello amongst others! With a sound that pays tribute to his influences such as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Thistle’s music showcases his versatility and passion marking him as an artist to watch. The power of unity. The essence of happiness. The strength of togetherness and positive vibrations. The highs of living life and the lows of dealing with its obstacles. All of these things encapsulate the music of Cincinnati, OH-born Rockstead, a four-piece, passion driven rock/reggae group. With roots leading as far back as middle school, Rockstead combines a lifetime full of influences ranging from rock, punk, reggae, jam and metal. In their early days Rockstead ruled the college party scene in Ohio with a schedule full of impromptu house shows leading to packed basements of DIY venues and later, massive crowds attending college fests such as Ohio University’s infamous spring festivals. This early success catalyzed the band’s first recordings which included “Wake Up And Live” (album, 2013), “Rise” (EP, 2014) and “Homegrown” (album, 2016). These releases ignited their inner road warrior leading to a plethora of plays at music festivals and concert venues across the Midwest. Since then, Rockstead continues to widen their reach touring throughout the Eastern U.S. and down into Florida. Though member changes have occurred over the years, front man singer/guitarist Jake Burns continues to drive the group forward as they have shared stages with international acts such as The Wailers (Jamaica), Sticky Fingers (Australia) and Big Mountain (USA) as well as many national acts like Andy Frasco & The U.N., Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Badfish, Tropidelic, Little Stranger, Bumpin’ Uglies and Ballyhoo!. The band has now grown to include Nate Anuci (drums) and Stephen Woodard (bass). Rockstead dropped their first studio album “You’re In Control” in September 2020 which scored them multiple features in blogs and podcasts across the scene making them “one of the most unique and special bands in [Cincinnati]” (CincyMusic, 2020). The group continues to expand their catalog with the release of their sophomore studio album “Fall Down. Get Up. Repeat.” in February 2023 with guest appearances from TreeHouse!, The Quasi Kings and Higher Education. By using their relentless high-energy performances and genre-bending setlists, while aligning their unwavering dedication to the do-it-yourself work ethic, Rockstead shows no sign of slowing down their mission of bringing people together through music. https://www.popachubby.com/ Popa Chubby, born Ted Horowitz, has been hard rocking the blues in his fierce and soulful way for more than 30 years. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994, he has been a force of to be reckoned with on the guitar, and his tempestuous, soulful playing has never been more powerful. An imposing figure with a shaven head, tattooed arms, a goatee and a performance style he describes as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson," Popa Chubby is an endearing character who is one of the genre’s most popular figures. His career has always been about moving forward and carving a place for himself in the imposing terrain of the music business, overcoming odds to continue growing and maturing as a creative force. He has built a constantly increasing base of fans across the world, where in many territories he is a star. A native New Yorker, Horowitz's first gigs were in the NYC punk scene as a guitarist for what he reflects was a "crazy Japanese special effects performance artist in a kimono called Screaming Mad George who had a horror-movie inspired show." Right from the start he was immersed in rock ‘n’ roll as theater, and learned from George and others playing CBGB’s at the time that included the Ramones, the Cramps, Richard Hell, whose band, the Voidoids he joined that rock ‘n’ roll should be dangerous. He reflects, "Musicians like the Ramones and the Sex Pistols weren’t just bands. They were a threat to society." The Blues however was the foundation of his playing style. He recalls, "Since I’d grown up on Hendrix, Cream and Led Zeppelin, when I started playing blues in New York clubs I understood that the blues should be dangerous, too. It wasn’t just from playing in punk bands. Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters were dangerous men. They’d cut or shoot you if they thought it was necessary, and Little Walter packed a gun and wouldn’t hesitate to use it. That danger is a real part of the Blues and I keep it alive in my music.” Popa Chubby is his own man for better or worse. He reflects, "I’m living in a wild time, and that is where the inspiration is drawn from. There are my issues, but the picture is much bigger than me and my situation. Everything is breaking down in the world. The lines are being redefined. We all need something.” Information Source: Live at Hub City Vinyl | eventbrite
