The workshop employs small and large group sessions along with personal time and working lunches. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own beverages and food to stay refreshed throughout the event. Water, coffee, and tea will be available throughout the day all three days. Refreshments and lunch will be provided on the first day. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or to access the surrounding restaurants on days two and three. MUSIC FOR THE MIGHTY Get ready to groove once again at the second annual Music for the Mighty fundraiser. Join us at Revelry Food+Music Hub for a night filled with incredible tunes and good vibes. This in-person event will feature Gun Shy and talented musicians from various genres that will be night to remember as we join in community to raise funds for the BC Children's Hospital Foudnation. Music for the Mighty is more than a night of music, it’s an Okanagan fundraiser that brings our community together to support families from next door and across the region who rely on BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. When a child is seriously ill, parents are often forced to travel hours to Vancouver just to get them the care they need. The Social Work Fund steps in when costs start to pile up, covering things like travel, meals, counselling, and other essentials many families can’t afford on their own. This event is about showing up for those families - our neighbours, friends, coworkers - and making sure no child goes without care because of distance or dollars. Live Music Lineup ● Gun Shy is back - featuring: ~David Pfuetzner & Jordan Hansum (Align West Homes) ~Grant Petkau (Kelbrook Construction) ~Jarrett Boyetchko (Ace Project Marketing Group) More artists to be announced soon! What’s Included ● A welcome drink on arrival ● Delicious appies ● A night of live music and community connection ● A chance to directly support families in our region facing a medical crisis Family Should Never Face A Crisis Alone Every year, over 4,800 families from the Okanagan head to BC Children’s Hospital for specialized care they can’t get here. Last year, we raised over $58,000. This year, our goal is $75,000, and your ticket purchase helps us get there. Whether you're from Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, or anywhere in between, this event is about our community standing up for our families. This is about C ommunity, Connection, Compassion. This is Music for the Mighty. Let’s pack Revelry, raise a glass, and make a real difference together. Can’t make it? KING THIEF (Edmonton, AB) A fast and fiery punk rock juggernaut, King Thief was born as a musical call to arms for Edmonton’s underground scene in 2019. The band developed their honest and melodic approach to dirty rock and roll riffery throughout the pandemic shutdown, blending notes of post hardcore and modern punk with underscores of 70s arena rock. Quickly recognized for their energy and technical facility, King Thief’s live performance is described as explosive and engaging – tight and raw, pure focussed energy. The gravelly delivery of Eric Nielson’s lyrics, often rooted in social justice, sit atop the punishing rhythm section that is Darren Chewka’s (Teenage Bottle Rocket, Old Wives) melodic drumming and Nick Kouremenos’ (This is a Standoff, Fire Next Time, Vargouille) bass mastery. Shawn Moncrieff (Choke) and Ryan Podlubny(ex-The Fullblast), both known for innovative and nuanced guitar playing, haunt listeners with adventurously rhythmic chording and inter-weaving lead-line crescendos. If nothing else, King Thief come by their innovative approach to creating art genuinely. The band has recently completed their debut, full length album, which was released on Thousand Islands records in Canada, Disconnect Disconnect records in the U.K and distributed in Europe through Bearded Punk records. IDIOFAME (Kelowna, BC) IDIOFAME is a melodic punk band from Kelowna, BC. They’re 5 guys who really like each other. Getting tubular since 2024, they've shared the stage with notable acts such as Calling All Captains, Moneen, and Chixdiggit! among others. With abrupt honesty, B.A. will serenade you from the back seat to the gutter. WE ARE NOT A CULT (Penticton, BC) We Are Not A Cult are a punk rock party band making waves throughout the scene with their loud, brash, and original sound. They pull from a wide range of influences including skate punk, hardcore, and straight up rock n' roll. Their energetic live shows always convert new fans, so come see why they're your favourite bands, favourite band.
