Fine Art
Join the Art Gallery of Burlington for their Winter Holiday Crafternoons event, featuring a studio program for families. This exciting event, taking place on January 5th, 2024, from 1-3:30pm, will bring families together to create beautiful clay portraits inspired by the works of Sybil Atteck and Chiedza Pasipanodya. Using clay, participants will have the opportunity to make three-dimensional portraits of their loved ones, whether it's their own face, their sister's face, or the face of a chosen family member. These clay works will be fired and ready for pickup at a later date, and the gallery will provide ideas for painting them, ensuring a truly personalized artwork.
In addition to enjoying a fun-filled afternoon of creativity, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food and hygiene products to donate to the Burlington Food Bank. With a 20% increase in the need for assistance with groceries over the past year, the community's support is crucial.
To make the most of this experience, registration is required for each family member. Requests for cancellations or refunds must be made at least two weeks in advance of the workshop date, allowing other community members to take advantage of any vacancies. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult as these workshops are designed to be a shared experience for the entire family.
For a safe and seamless visit, please review the gallery's safety guidelines on their website before attending the event. Winter Holiday Crafternoons at the Art Gallery of Burlington is an excellent opportunity to bond with loved ones, explore your creativity, and contribute to the community's well-being. Don't miss out on this inspiring event! Tickets are available for $27.96.
