Musical Arts
"Hello... is there anybody in there?" Let Me In Presents are back, returning for a UK Cathedral Tour , this Autumn, of their brand new production - An Evening of Pink Floyd - following their sell-out, acclaimed tour of An Evening of Radiohead . It promises to be a spectacular live show featuring a full live band, vocalists and a string & brass ensemble, performing in some of the most breathtaking buildings in the UK. Witness the iconic sound of Pink Floyd's vast and ethereal catalogue of music, performed live by the acclaimed Let Me In House Band , alongside the Mike Nowland String and Brass Ensemble - featuring a total of 18 musicians, embodying the timeless songs of one of the most popular artists of all time. Expect to hear hits and hidden gems from across their discography, with a particular focus on the inimitable run of records from the 1970s, including Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall. We are welcoming the return of the acclaimed band from An Evening of Radiohead, featuring additional musicians to employ the great, epic sound created by Pink Floyd. The band will be fronted by Christopher Buckle and Musical Director - Ewan Steady , and will include musicians and Floyd lovers - Alfie Woods, Bruce Higgs, Daniel Anketell, Josh Semans, Eleanor Kinsey, Lydia Karaviotis and more. The band will be accompanied by very special guests and nationally renowned string and brass players - Mike Nowland, Mathias Svensson, Caroline Bodimead, Kate Scrivens, Laurie Dempsey, Hannah Paterson, Julian Turner, Andy Clennell & Chris Beagles. NOTE - We believe that the arts have both the potential and responsibility to support the strengthening of communities and in actively fighting against injustices that provide a select few in society opportunities that should be accessible to everyone. We are constantly pushing ourselves to find new ways to collaborate with individuals and communities across the Midlands in seeing how we can develop projects that aren’t just artistically enjoyable but that enable space for reflection on how to make our communities more open, safe and without prejudice. Because of this, we do not want to put any financial barriers between our work and our audiences - if you find this is the case, please email us on chris@letmeinpresents.co.uk and we can discuss alternative ticketing arrangements to enable you to come to the event if you wish to. FAQs When do doors open? Doors will open 45 minutes before the music begins, meaning they will open at 7.15pm. This will give you ample time to come into the space, find your seat and relax before the music begins at 8.00pm. What are the stage times? There is no support act, so the music will begin at 8.00pm sharp. There will be two sets with a 20 minute interval, with the event finishing around 10.30pm. Will there be strobes/haze/flashing lights? Yes, there will be strobes and flashing lights throughout the performance, so we recommend that this production is not suitable for those with epilepsy or that struggle with strobes and flashing lighting. Haze will be used where possible, venue permitting. What age is the performance suitable for? This performance is suitable for all ages, however, there are some intense lighting and sound moments throughout the evening, and we would recommend parental discretion. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). What are the seating arrangements? When you book your tickets, you can select which section you would like of unreserved seating. This gives you first-come-first-served access to that section of seating and does not guaratee you a particular seat. We will ensure that all parties are sat together. Is there disabled access? It is incredibly important to us that our performances are accessible to everyone that wants to come - therefore, we have ensured that An Evening of is accessible to all. We recognise that not all accessibility is visible, therefore we have separated ticketing into two bands - Accessible and Wheelchair Accessible. Please ensure you book the specific ticket for your needs, this way we can make sure we have ample staff and space to make sure you are all as comfortable as possible. From here, our staff will ensure everyone is happy and comfortable. Please note that companion tickets are free of charge, when purchased with an Accessible Ticket. What is the view like in the "restricted view" section? The restricted views seats are at the sides of the main nave, and can range from a decent view to being behind a pillar. These are unreserved, so you can end up getting a great spot if you arrive early, however, the price reflects the inconsistency of these views. Will there be refreshments on site? There will be an affordable selection of refreshments being sold on site, and you are encouraged to buy from the on site bar to help the Cathedral continue the community engagement work it does. Will there be parking on site? There are various car parks nearby to the venue, including city centre parking. Will there be toilets on site? Yes, there are toilets on site. What if I need more information? Feel free to email Chris at chris@letmeinpresents.co.uk with any questions you may have. We are always happy to help and our door is always open! Cycling Sports & Fitness
School of Rocks presents: Ultra Cycling! We’re diving into the wild world of ultra-distance bike racing – a sport that seems totally mad and wildly unattainable… until it’s not. Think of riding your bike over 500km in one go – that’s the short end of an ultra race. It’s tough, it’s raw, and it’s full of that sweet Type Two fun. But what actually is ultra bike racing? The definition’s a bit loose, but if you imagine riding for over 24 hours and still not being at the finish line, you're on the right track. Every racer has a story – and trust us, none of these races go smoothly. That’s half the beauty of it. To help you make sense of it all (or maybe just inspire your next ride), we’re bringing in two incredible speakers: Richard Hibbert and Bryn Davies – both local legends. Dicky (from Llangynidr) has recently smashed the HT550 in brutal conditions and took the win at the Wild West Country Way. Bryn (from Neath) has just conquered the gruelling El Piri race in Girona and casually cycled to every fire station in South West Wales. These guys didn’t start as winners – they built their experience through countless miles, tough lessons, and even (in Dicky’s case) riding a tandem across South America. They’ll be sharing their stories, mishaps, and top bikepacking tips for anyone curious about giving it a go. There’ll also be a raffle on the night with some great prizes, and all proceeds go straight back into supporting School of Rocks and growing the local cycling scene. It’s a social evening where lycra is optional, the chat is solid, and the vibes are top-tier. There’s a small ticket fee to cover venue hire at The Bike Lock, and anything extra goes straight into the community. Come hang out – we’d love to see you there. In 1988 Michael O’Brien and two other men were found guilty of bludgeoning a Cardiff newsagent to death with a spade. Only they didn’t do it – they had nothing to do with this horrible crime. Eleven years later they walked free as the Court of Appeal agreed that the evidence told a different story. For the last twenty-five years, Michael has fought - using the knowledge of law gained in prison libraries and steel-like determination – taking on governments and institutions and winning justice for many victims of the system. Now he wants to share his life beyond bars, to bring hope and courage to those troubled by injustice in our society.
