Join the Slam Poetry Workshop in Wigan, a national initiative called Mind Over Slammer, which combines bespoke workshops and regional poetry slams. This workshop will be facilitated by Miss Yankey, a six-time International Slam Champion. The Grand Finale will take place in the heart of London, offering a chance to win £1,800 in prize money. This workshop provides a safe space for participants to explore sensitive topics and receive support from a BACP accredited therapist. It is an ideal opportunity to develop and enhance your creative skills, gain confidence, and experience a sense of community. The workshops will be held in various locations including Swindon, Dudley, Wigan, Barnsley, Sheffield, and Croydon.
No prior experience in writing or performing is required to attend this workshop, making it accessible to everyone. The workshops are designed and facilitated by Miss Yankey, a Poetry Prescribed founder and six-time International Slam Champion. Anna Sinski, a resident psychotherapist and poet at Mind Over Matter Arts, will also be co-facilitating.
