Cultural Experiences
Are you looking for a fun way to bond and spend time with your dog? Come and join us for one of our Scent Games work shops! Hosted by our Canine Behavioural experts, our scent games session will really get your dog’s brain working by using their most important sense – smell! Incorporating ‘Find it;’ games and enriching nose work, as well as fun activities that you and all the family can do at home, this session can help to make your dog feel more relaxed and content as a result. So w hat do scent games help with? -Calming – scenting helps to calm a dog. -Mental Stimulation – scenting and searching for food tires a dog’s brain. -To refocus a behaviour – if the dog is about to engage in something we don’t want to occur – scent games are a great refocusing tool that teaches the dog a more positive behaviour to display. -Confidence – an easy to learn training tool! The workshop is a 1-2-1 drop-in session for you and your dog to attend and each session will run for 45 minutes; however, you can attend 5 minutes prior to your tickets time to help settle your dog into their new environment. This workshop is suitable for dogs of all ages from 6 months upwards. In order to get the most out of the session and ensure this is an enjoyable experience for your dog, we advice dogs attending are motivated by food and comfortable meeting our behaviourists. Whilst additional family members including children are welcome, we recommend suitability for school aged children only and they must be fully supervised at all times. ** Please note that dogs are required to always be onlead when onsite ** Information Source: Cheltenham Animal Shelter | eventbrite

Cheltenham
Cultural Experiences
How Speed Dating Works in Cheltenham When you arrive at the Cheltenham venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table. Once the ladies are seated the gentlemen will be asked to proceed to their first date. You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up and for the gentlemen to move to their next date. Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again and also short enough if you don't. At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated. This is something to help jog your memory for the post event matching process the next day. Half way through the event you will have an interval break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. Please remember to take your dating card home with you to assist you in entering in your ticks and potential matches. Post Event No later than midday the following day our matching system will be unlocked for you to enter your ticks from the previous evening. You have all day to tick as many people as you like from the night before. We guarantee you will find someone you will want to see again, otherwise we will give you your next Speed Dating event for free! Cheltenham - Small99's People, Planet, Pint™: Sustainability Meetup | Deya Tap Room

May 1, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Cheltenham
Cultural Experiences
Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more about what's going on locally with sustainability and how you can get involved. No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pint/s. Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally. We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas. Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink? Prefer a Pastry to a Pint? Head along to ‘ People Planet Pastry ’! Equally relaxed and welcoming, they run during the day and offer an informal way to learn about what is going on locally in sustainability. Your Volunteer Hosts Raechel Kelly worked in sustainable finance for 12 years, on ESG analysis and fossil fuel divestment. In 2020 she set up The Liminality , her small solo project working on climate communications and facilitation. In the same year she approached local charity Vision 21 to set up Planet Cheltenham , the town's first community climate solutions hub with the aim of empowering residents around joyful climate action. She now runs several projects including a Youth Climate Group, Little Planet Cheltenham baby group, and took part in the pilot Doughnut Economics Learning Journey as a host to some amazing local renegade economists. She is a NED at Good With Money, an RSA fellow, and you will always find her in the kitchen at parties (asking where the recycling bin is). Becki Sillence works for local climate charity Vision 21 as the communications manager for the CheltenhamZero project, a joint initiative between Vision21 and Cheltenham Borough Council supporting local organisations to move towards a Net Zero position. She has worked with a wide range of people and organisations in Cheltenham and has experience in the community, engagement and flood resilience sectors. Andrew Lansley is the Innovation Manager for Cheltenham Festivals, Senior Academic at the University of Gloucestershire and facilitator for the Cheltenham Culture Board. He works cross-sector with regional and national stakeholders to help progress the town’s relationship with culture, technology, sustainability and accessibility. Andrew believes culture can play a key role in promoting sustainable economics around Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and the UK, and is involved in numerous related projects across the live events and cultural sectors. Our Sponsor KRYSTAL are an award-winning, 100% renewably powered web hosting provider, with datacentres in the UK, US, & Europe.
