The focus will be on the work of the seven teams awarded the 2023 Exhibit Columbus University Design Research Fellowships (UDRF).

The event will feature keynote conversations with industry leaders, including Brian Blackford and David Terrell from Ball State University Indiana Communities Institute, Doug Noonan and Joanna Woronkowicz from Indiana University Center for Cultural Affairs, and Ben Stone, the Director of Design and Creative Placemaking at the National Endowment for the Arts.

Throughout the two days, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the seven installations created by the University Design Research Fellows. These installations respond to recommendations from the 2021 Downtown Activation Study and aim to activate the historic core of downtown Columbus. The event will also include conversations with municipal leaders, experts in placemaking activities, and community leaders who have contributed to the creation of these installations.
