ANIMAFILM Film Festival promotes creativity through animated films. We believe that animated films have the power to bring people together and create significant change in our society. Since 2018, ANIMAFILM has grown into a real platform and we organize this event every year. The Festival brings together children, young people, animation directors and studios, introduces them to international experiences, establishes contacts with local and foreign professional animation experts, screens hundreds of animated films, and hosts masterclasses, conferences, concerts, shows and exhibitions. The Festival's program includes local and international competitions, non-competitive screenings, professional conferences and related events.

As the first site in Azerbaijan to be awarded the title of World Cultural Heritage, the Old City of Baku has completely preserved medieval buildings such as the 12th-century city walls, the Maiden Tower, and the Shirvanshah Palace, reflecting the integration of Persian, Arab, and Caucasian civilizations. The streets in the old city are mostly paved with uneven stones or cobblestones. Walking slowly on them, you can slowly appreciate the ancient buildings and unique specialty shops on both sides of the street. Occasionally, the locals will greet you enthusiastically with a not-so-standard &quot;hello&quot;. This experience is wonderful!

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape

The Bustan Rock Paintings are located in the Gobustan Mountain area of Azerbaijan and are a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. In this rocky highland, there are more than 6,000 exquisite rock carvings. These carvings have smooth lines, allowing people to see rock art from 4,000 to 20,000 years ago. The earliest rock paintings can be traced back to 20,000 years ago, and the latest has a history of 5,000 years. The time span extends from the early Paleolithic Age to the Middle Ages. They are witnesses to the life, culture, and worldview of the ancient Azerbaijanis, and provide precious information for studying the historical changes and social development of the region from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages.

Atashgah Zoroastrian Fire Temple

Azerbaijan means &quot;the country of fire&quot; in Persian, and has a profound fire culture. The Fire Temple, located on the outskirts of the capital Baku, was built in the 17th and 18th centuries by Persians or Indian immigrants who believed in Zoroastrianism and was originally used for sacrificial activities. Zoroastrianism (Zoroastrianism) originated in ancient Persia 3,000 years ago. The Fire Temple is a concrete manifestation of its beliefs. It has now been transformed into a museum to display the history of Zoroastrianism. Tickets are required to enter and the price is 9 manats, about RMB 35.
