Every time I go to Lisson Gallery, I worry that I can&#39;t make up a grid. This time, Turner Prize-winning artist Laurie Provost presents a solo exhibition that mobilizes multi-sensory experiences. &quot;Close to You, Like You at First Sight&quot; brings a series of eclectic works.
[Exhibition Content] Includes new paintings, new tapestries from the &quot;We Will Keep Cool&quot; series, sculptures made of Murano glass, a video installation, and a pair of hanging virtual reality glasses with the appearance of a woven basket.
[Exhibition Highlights] Provost&#39;s exhibitions are often characterized by humor and intimacy. This Shanghai solo exhibition is no exception, and runs through the artist&#39;s iconic visual language, exploring themes of language, motherhood, and ecological awareness.
[After-viewing Impressions] I prefer the &quot;The Octopus Body&quot; series of paintings. These playful works depict different parts of the flesh and directly communicate with the viewer through the text in the paintings. Different from the tones used in previous paintings, these paintings use soft tones, including powder blue, gray and flesh color, which are reminiscent of the shadows of the seascape at dusk and the creatures in the sea. Wandering octopuses and swimming fish appear repeatedly in the artist&#39;s practice, symbolizing the mysterious boundary between thought and emotion, human life and marine life.

The Lego miniature scenery alone is worth the price of admission. The rides are a bit more childish, but the kids had a blast. Both roller coasters were thrilling, and they kept asking for more throughout the ride. The food was half price, and it felt like a 100 million dollar deal. The trees were all small, offering no shade. Aside from the heat, there were no other drawbacks. It was unbearable, so we left after 3:00 PM. While it&#39;s not as good as Disneyland or Universal Beijing, it&#39;s still worth a visit if you lower your expectations.

It was quite fun and the interior was bigger than I remembered. But unfortunately, the escalator, which was so good, can no longer be used on weekdays. You can only go straight forward and cannot go back.

Shanghai Wild Animal Park

My first nighttime visit to Shanghai Wild Animal Park was a refreshingly cool experience, and not too crowded.

We first walked around the park, got up close and personal with lemurs, watched a sea lion show, and observed colorful parrots.

As night fell, we boarded a bus to the wild animal area. The sight of wolves slumped on the roadside was truly captivating. While the animals weren&#39;t as energetic as I&#39;d imagined, they were certainly much better than their lethargic nature during the day.

I&#39;d like to try the feeding cart again next time. I hope Ueno Park will offer a set menu again.
