For nearly five decades, the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar has been a cornerstone of Austin’s holiday season, blending art, live music, and festive shopping into an unparalleled experience. From December 14 to 23, 2024, this iconic event will take place at the Palmer Events Center, located at 900 Barton Springs Road, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a vibrant celebration of creativity and culture. 

 Featuring nearly 200 talented artists, the Bazaar offers a diverse array of unique creations, including fine art, handcrafted gifts, and artisan-made treasures, perfect for holiday shopping. Complementing this artistic showcase, 30 bands will grace the intimate Armadillo stage, with three live performances each day, providing a lively soundtrack to the festive atmosphere. 

 Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., the event also boasts a relaxed environment with delicious food options and well-stocked bars, making it a destination for locals and visitors alike. Tickets are available for $12 per day or $60 for a 10-day pass, offering an accessible way to experience this cherished Austin tradition. 

 Since 1976, the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar has celebrated art, music, and counterculture, becoming a vital part of the city’s cultural identity. This event remains a must-visit for anyone seeking to connect with Austin’s creative spirit during the holiday season.

As an ordinary tourist, I thought the procedure to enter the Capitol Building was very complicated, but I didn&#39;t expect that I could enter and visit just by checking the bags I brought with me.
This building was built in 1885 and covers an area of ​​51 acres. It was designed by architect Elijah E Myer in imitation of the Capitol Building in Washington. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
It is amazing that the passage of time has not affected its appearance and internal structure at all. It is as new as ever. Visitors can visit the government offices and have time to visit the exterior of the building to appreciate this century-old building from all angles.
