Family, art, and entrepreneurship converge in the story of three visionary Peranakan women from Indonesia – Nyonya Oeij Soen King, her daughter-in-law Nyonya Oeij Kok Sing, and her granddaughter Jane Hendromartono. From the 1890s to 1980s, they produced impressive batiks in the renowned batik centre of Pekalongan on Java’s north coast.
This exhibition explores the lives and works of these women, revealing how each became a batik master in her own right, and how they responded to the rapid political, cultural, and economic changes of their times to run a business that produced great art.

The Cloud Forest was quite interesting and impressive, and there was a dinosaur exhibition. Compared to other attractions, the price was quite reasonable. We walked around the Flower Dome in 20 minutes. I don&#39;t know much about flowers, but I just wanted to take pictures. The entire Gardens by the Bay was beautiful. After walking around and enjoying the light show, we arrived around 3 PM. It would have been boring to wait for the light show too early.

Asia&#39;s largest Ferris wheel 🎡 The kids were scared at first, but once they got on it, they said it felt just like being on flat ground, nothing special... The view overlooking Singapore&#39;s CBD, the Strait of Malacca, the Marina Bay Sands, and Gardens by the Bay is unobstructed! It&#39;s even more beautiful when you choose to go at sunset!

I went to Haji Lane twice, once in the evening and once at night, for the good food and shopping. There are delicious coconut club fried chicken rice, coconut shake drinks, bird of parasdis ice cream nearby, and a famous church with many graffiti on the walls.

Value for money: All rides in Singapore require reservations, which we didn&#39;t realize before arriving, so we ended up having to buy an Optima Pass to ride on the day.
Highlights: I&#39;ve never tried this in China, but it was quite fun. There are four slides in total, and they aren&#39;t very long, so the ride ends quickly. However, buying three rides felt like more than enough. The kids had a blast.
Summary: You have to wait in line at the scheduled time, so plan your time well before coming, otherwise it&#39;ll be too hot. Bringing a DJI neckband to shoot is also expensive for photos and videos.

Nice experience. Attended their in house tour and get to know a lot of the insight and history of the Peranakan heritage. Worthwhile to visit and be amazed by their display.
