Join the 
National Caucus of Environmental Legislators
 (NCEL
) for a bipartisan energy and grid convening 
October 27-30
 in 
Salt Lake City, Utah
. This event will bring together legislators from 
Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, 
and
 Wyoming
 to learn about the electric grid and energy systems in the West.  This event will feature deep dive workshops on utility & grid policy, the specific role state legislators have to play, case studies from states in the region, and concrete policy actions for state legislators to take following the event. Come together to collaboratively shape a Western grid for the 21st century.

, and the event organizers can cover legislators' hotel accommodations and travel costs as needed. Look out for information regarding booking and reimbursement logistics after registration.

Temple Square is also a very distinctive place in Salt Lake City. Some very interesting design styles can be seen on the square. The entire Temple Square is a huge place worth visiting. There are many local community complexes surrounding the square.

Utah State Capitol

The Utah State Capitol is also a place worth visiting. The Capitol Building is quite large and is the most important administrative seat of the Utah state government. Many of the designs in the building are quite interesting. You can apply to visit here, but it is quite difficult.

This Is The Place Heritage Park

This was our first stop when we arrived in Salt Lake City. We have friends who have lived in this area for many years. This is where the first Mormon settlers arrived. There are many monuments describing this history, and there is also a visitor center with a short film about this history.

Salt Lake City Tabernacle

The Great Chapel is also a huge gathering place. It is located near the Temple of the Demon Sect. The chapel here is also a favorite gathering place for local Americans. The decoration and design inside the chapel are very distinctive. I like some of the styles here very much.
