The Cal Poly Alumni — Orange County Community is excited to welcome the newest cohort of Mustangs from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at Deerfield Community Park picnic shelter (55 Deerwood W, Irvine, CA 92604).
Alumni
 — do you remember the excitement and anticipation of starting your first quarter at Cal Poly? Bring that energy and wisdom to share with the newest additions to the Mustang family while connecting with fellow alumni.
Incoming students 
— do you want to know the best places to eat, study and hang out at Cal Poly? Meet alumni from different programs and colleges and ask them your burning questions! Oh, and did we mention this event is FREE for you?
Parents and supporters 
— are you looking for ways to celebrate and support your student? Get to know the local alumni network that helps graduates stay connected to each other and Cal Poly.
Cal Poly alumni, incoming students and supporters can mix and mingle while enjoying light appetizers and beverages. Wear your green and gold and celebrate this exciting milestone for new students.
Tickets are $20 for adults and include cheese and charcuterie, fresh fruit, sweets and non-alcoholic beverage options. Incoming students are invited to attend at no cost. Event proceeds will help cover the cost of swag bags for new students so they can arrive at Cal Poly showing their Mustang pride!
Tickets are on sale through Wednesday, Aug. 20, or until sold out.

My sister and I and our 6 kids spent an afternoon picking strawberries here and it was so much fun. The staff will take you on a tour of the farm and show you all the different foods like green beans, carrots, sweet corn and cucumbers and we were able to take our berries home. Tip: Eat as many strawberries as you can! They were really fresh and delicious. The kids also loved the sunflowers and chickens. They also picked lots of melons and pumpkins which was fun. We will be back next time we have the chance.
