Welcome to Mountaineering Ireland’s first coaching conference. Bringing together indoor competition climbing coaches from across Ireland.
Creating spaces to connect as coaches, to gather insights from the climbing coaching community, to learn, share, discuss and collaborate in the co-creation of a progressive Performance Pathway which supports Irelands first climbing Olympians.
If you are a climbing coach working in a wall, club or competition squad and supporting Irish competition climbers we would like to invite you to join us in February 2025 for a weekend of sharing, learning, development and self-discovery.
Inspired by current best practices from adult learning and development, this conference will look to blend the traditional conference elements of keynotes, case studies and breakout groups with facilitated social learning spaces and sense making sessions. Participants will be supported across the two day event by coach developers from across the Irish high-performance sport community. Open to any climbing coach working in Ireland, or climber interested for their own development, who would like to be part of the future development of the Irish Performance system and wants to connect, learn and share ideas and best practice with other coaches from across the pathway. Coaches are most likely to have completed Mountain Training’s Development Coach Award and/or have similar levels of coaching experience. The most worthwhile attraction in Dublin, there are three worthwhile attractions: the first is the Book of Kells, which is the national treasure of Ireland, but you must listen to the audio guide, otherwise you will not understand the preciousness of this scripture; the second is the library gallery, which is the filming location of the Harry Potter movie, and it is also very quaint and unique; the third is the oldest harp in Ireland. In general, the tour is very exciting, the small disadvantage is that the price of Ctrip is slightly more expensive than the local ticket price, and the cost performance is not very high.

Dublin Castle has a long royal history and the attractions are worth visiting. The ticket price is only 8 euros (6 euros for those over 60 years old). However, the ticket price on Ctrip for those over 60 years old is 160 yuan, which is 3 times the price on site. It is too expensive!!! It has affected my high trust and good impression of Ctrip!!!

Ireland belongs to the temperate marine climate zone, so the vegetation coverage rate is very high. This green color, from south to north, from east to west, covers the island country, clear and transparent like emerald. The green of Ireland is fascinating, but the weather in Ireland is very depressing. When I came here, everyone said a joke that it rains 300 days out of 365 days in Ireland. One of my colleagues once talked about the weather in Ireland with a taxi driver. The driver said that God gave Ireland such a beautiful coat, and if he gave it good weather, it would be envied by the world.
