The 2024 Chengdu Open will be held at the Sichuan Chuantou International Tennis Center from September 17 to 24. The prize money for this event will exceed 1.26 million US dollars, which means that the Chengdu Open will become the ATP 250 level event with the richest prize money held in China. 
The Paris Olympics has just ended, and the 2024 Chengdu Open is coming. This year's Chengdu Open will bring together many world-class players, Chinese local stars and iconic figures in the tennis world to compete fiercely for the championship honor. Multi-party cooperation to create a wonderful international tennis event
World professional tennis is led by three major organizations, namely ITF (International Tennis Federation), ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals), and WTA (Women's Tennis Association). Among them, the global tennis tour organized by ATP has three levels of competitions with 1,000 points, 500 points and 250 points. The ATP250 champion will receive 250 championship points.
In 2016, Chengdu successfully introduced the Chengdu Open-ATP250. This event is an international men's professional tennis 250 points competition, an international A-level event, and the highest level of international professional men's tennis event in western China.
The 2024 Chengdu Open is hosted by the Chinese Tennis Association and the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, hosted by the Chengdu Sports Bureau, the Chengdu Shuangliu District People's Government and Chengdu Cultural Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Sichuan Chuantou International Tennis Center Development Co., Ltd. and IMG. This is the sixth time that the event has been held in Chengdu. It has not only made Chengdu a city that tennis stars yearn for, but also built a "bridge" for the world to understand Chengdu and for Chengdu to go global. We will continue to enhance Chengdu's global visibility and influence, and help Chengdu build a world-famous city for events.
The first list of participating players announced on site shows that the world's seventh-ranked Polish star Hubert Hurkacz, the world's 16th-ranked, 2024 Wimbledon semifinalist, and Paris Olympic men's singles bronze medalist Lorenzo Musetti, the French tennis star Gael Monfils and other world tennis star players will come to Chengdu to participate.
It is worth mentioning that Chinese tennis teenager Shang Juncheng is also confirmed to participate in the 2024 Chengdu Open. He has won many victories in the main draw of the Grand Slam and is ranked among the top 100 in the world. Carvalho said: "More participating lists will be announced in the coming weeks."
