The National Gallery of Iceland will present Christian Marclay’s The Clock (2010) for the first time in Iceland. The Clock is a 24-hour video montage made up of thousands of film and television clips of clocks and time. The work won the Golden Lion at the 2011 Venice Biennale. The gallery will screen the full 24-hour version of The Clock on two special occasions: the opening night of the exhibition and the summer solstice.

The National Gallery of Iceland is not very big and is quite close to my hotel. However, I was not able to visit it due to my tight schedule. The white glass building of the museum is also a landmark in the local area.

This landmark church in Reykjavik (built between 1945 and 1986) is inspired by the basalt columns of the Icelandic volcano, and uses modern concrete to &quot;reproduce&quot; natural wonders - the 72-meter-high tower is like a glacier crack, and the gradient oblique columns on the facade simulate the rhythm of solidified lava. The 30-meter-high minimalist hall inside introduces the changing light of the Nordic world through slender glass windows, replacing the gorgeous decoration of traditional churches, and using abstract light and shadow to express the sacredness.

I suggest you don&#39;t take this trip. It takes about two and a half hours to take a boat back and forth. If you feel dizzy, you must take medicine. The scenery is OK, but there are no small or big fish. There are only small biscuits, coffee and tea. So the cost performance is too low, because the price is not cheap.

Perlan is a beautiful musuem, perfect for a leisure day in Reykjavik. If you only visit one attraction in reykjavik, it has to be perlan. (you can skip aurora reykjavik and lava show) We took the bus 18 to &lsquo;perlan&rsquo; bus stop where we walked through a little garden. there was a lot of people on a rainy tuesday afternoon. we easily spent about 3 hours there: watch shows about volcano and aurora, enter ice cave &amp; learn about iceland&rsquo;s geology. Apparently the restaurant rotates around in the dome, but we didn&rsquo;t have time to try.

Lake Thorning is an important tourist attraction in the capital of Iceland and is worth visiting. The lake is close to the City Hall, so you can visit the City Hall as well. There are many colorful houses by the lake. There are swans, ducks and birds in the lake, which attracts many tourists, especially children. You can interact and play with the seabirds and feed them, which is fun. There are also unique European-style buildings with pointed roofs and unique bridges by the lake. There is also an interesting statue standing here. His upper body is a huge square-shaped stone, and his lower body is a man carrying a briefcase 💼, which can be interpreted as modern urban office workers working hard for life and work... It&rsquo;s nice to stroll by the lake with a cool breeze and enjoy the vast lake view!
