Hammons presents her illustrated book, Jelani’s Search For The Perfect Life-Saving Energy (paperback, $18) which is dedicated to every person who has suffered with depression and the people who struggle through it ​with them. ​​It is especially dedicated to those who cannot verbalize their sadness. ​​ Jelani's Search for the Perfect Life-Saving Energy is accompanied by community activities that encourage intergenerational communication, when it is not easy or possible to find the right words. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ms. Hammons is an Artist, Curator, Writer, Poet, Activist, Educator and Prevention Specialist. She views her special call as a  community builder  and works in grateful collaboration with numerous artists, ARTS organizations, and individuals while being conscientious and mindful of honoring her ancestors. She created art, curated exhibitions, cultivated collaborative relationships, conducted cultural competency engagements for organizations, organized literary events and musical performances in addition to conducting community engagements in the downtown Phoenix area for over 25 years.

This is a really big park. I took the canal path from the south end to the north end and stopped at Hole in the Rock, which took about an hour. A great place to relax, exercise and have a picnic. I loved the change between the green areas around the lake and the dry areas filled with cacti. And was amazed by the bird life around. It does get very hot so wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water.

The trees are beautiful and unusual. The cactus is very big and taller than many people. You must come and visit. It is beautiful and has a desert-style atmosphere.

Phoenix Zoo is located in Tempe Arizona and it is by far one of the best zoos I have been to. There are many attractions to the zoo like the wildlife. Phoenix Zoo has places like sea life walk where you can go see the sea life. The have a trail called Desert trail where you can see all the desert animals. they also have an area where you can see all the flowers in Arizona. they have a kid&#39;s land for just the kids they have a water park for the kids the animals that you see are mainly ones that you would see in a safari because it is a desert. Arizona You Don&#39;t See Much of like polar bears. it&#39;s a great little Zoo it&#39;s not too big not too little and I highly suggest if you&#39;re going to go to the Phoenix Zoo do not go in the summer I would plan to come in the winter where is more nice not so hot and you&#39;ll see a lot more animals than if you were to come in the summer it is 120&deg; here in Arizona during the summer and in the winter it gets up to about 70&deg; during the day so be a perfect time to come in the Winter.

You can see the sunrise and sunset of Phoenix here
I went there twice this year
I arrived at around 8am in March to see the blue sky and wild flowers
I arrived at around 5am in June to see many tourists waiting for the sunrise
This place is right next to the zoo and the Desert Botanical Garden
Free attractions
Travel route
Bring breakfast and watch the sunrise and have breakfast at the Cave in the Stone
Then go to the Desert Botanical Garden at around 8am to see all kinds of desert plants and animals
At noon, have a good meal at the restaurant in the botanical garden
If you like, go to the zoo in the afternoon (but I don&#39;t like it)
