Cocoa Christmas Crawl is back and bigger than ever! Join us the night before for our Beginner Afropop Dance Class to support People's Programs, a Black-led organization empowering Oakland through grassroots community programs. No prior experience is necessary— simply come ready to learn a fun routine in community taught by instructor Chrystal Moore. Chrystal (she/her) is an Oakland native who loves to be in community. She currently works in education and co-teaches kids hip hop at In the Groove Studios in Oakland! She’s a member and co-captain of the all women’s hip hop team, Groove Generation, as well as a member of the coed competition team, A Tribe Called Groove out of In the Groove Studios. This year, she’s on the leadership team on the multiple award winning, Diaspora Dance Group for the Black Joy Parade! A pocket full of sunshine, she brings great, warm energy and loves to encourage others to be themselves. All ages are welcome! Looking for tickets for the Crawl?
