This year Mini Summit is exploring "Rooted in Relations(hip): community development as a daily practice of shared strengths, imagination and connection for moving vision to action."
Over the course of three hours we bring together Community Development Practitioners from across Alberta for shared learning and connection. Students, paid, unpaid, volunteer, academics, all community-minded people are welcome.
We look forward to having a wide variety of hosted sessions sharing approaches, successes, challenges, favourite tools, and important conversations! 
Tentative Session Schedule
3 pm - 3:15 pm - Opening
3:15 pm - 4:25 pm - Block One
1) Weaving Connection into Action through Intergenerational Relationships
2) Generative Conversations
4:35 pm - 5:45 pm - Block Two
1) The Power of Connection
2) Build "Grassroots" Community: Connect. Collaborate. Grow.
6 pm - 7:10 pm - Block Three
1) The Stories We Grow: Identity and Meaning-Making Beyond Systems of Harm
2) Getting into the non-for-profit world for Asian (Korean) Community, bridging Culture and Community
7:10 pm - 7:30 pm Closing
A few sessions are also in the works that will make use of the wonderful outdoor space at the Sunalta Hub.  We will be posting more about what sessions you can expect 
on our website
 as we get closer to the gathering!
Notes on Attending in Person - What You Can Expect
The building is two stories and we will be using both.  There is an enclosed lift as well as stairs to access the second floor.  Access into the building is via a short set of stairs or full length access ramp.
Coffee, tea, water and nurishing snacks will be provided throughout. 
Washrooms are gender neutral single rooms.
Parking is primarily street parking around the building with a mixture of free and paid parking - please take note of signs in the specific location you park.
The building is directly across from the Sunalta C-train station with a marked cross walk including lights.  
This year we are offering these in person only sessions at the Sunalta Community Hub in Calgary as well as online only sessions via Zoom. We'd love to have you at one or both. You will need to register for both separately if you choose to do so.

A fun, festive, and educational experience foreveryone. The Park has an assortment ofactivities, rides, food, civic museums, and heritage architecture emphasizing the cultural significance of early Prairie settlement/life.It&#39;s like taking a step back in time, and it&#39;s worthevery dollar. 11/10 do recommend.

Calgary is a beautiful city. This is a city park. Princes Island Park has a rich natural scenery. The park is full of various green beauty plants and flowers. It is quite comfortable in the evening. The whole area is also good.

Peace Bridge

It seems that a tunnel bridge is also a nearby transportation hub through the river. This bridge is very eye-catching in color, red intersecting institutions, no vehicles, people and bicycles can pass freely, there are lights at night, Feng Jia is beautiful. [View] Very beautiful

it&#39;s a nice place to visit not only for kids but for adults who love animals as well. i went here alone, and it was nice to have a walk and see the animals at the same time. sadly,the pandas are gone, but i got to see them before they&#39;re gone.
